It was one of the first warm spring days, so Joe and Nicky decided to go for a walk. And as it always had been with them, they used the walk to talk because they were doing two of their favourite things together.
Joe: "So, I were thinking..."
Nicky: "I have still not changed my mind about it."
Joe: "Seriously?"
Nicky nodded, and they turned a corner.
Joe: "You had 110 years to think about it."
Nicky: "It has only been 107 years."
Joe: "Really?"
Nicky: "Yes."
Joe: "Time is still a funny thing."
Nicky: "I agree with you."
Joe placed his arm around Nicky's lower waist and pulled him closer.
Joe: "If I buy you a gift, will that change your mind?"
Nicky: "Are you trying to bribe me? Again?"
Joe: "Okay, now that you are saying it, I know it is a bad idea to try to bribe you."
Nicky chuckled.
Nicky: "So, you are giving up? That is new."
Joe: "I didn't say I was about giving up trying to bribe you, because it is one of my hobbies."
Nicky: "Oh, so all I am to you is a hobby."
Joe: "You are more than that to me, and you know it. So, why are you saying that?"
Nicky: "It is just my way of distracting you from the idea you got 107 years ago."
Joe poked Nicky in his ribs, which made him giggle.
Joe: "You little..."
Nicky: "Whatever you were about to say, please remember we are out in public."
Joe looked around at all the people in the park.
Joe: "I will save those words until we are home again."
Nicky: "I cannot wait."
Joe: "I can understand that. So, back to my idea from 110 years ago."
Nicky: "It is still only 107 years. Yes, I know time flies fast, but not that fast."
Joe: "I agree with you. What will it take to change your mind?"
Nicky: "I will let you know when I know that. But until I have made up my mind, you could use the time to argue your case."
Joe: "Great idea. Okay, reason one as to why you should say yes..."
Joe used the rest of the walk to tell Nicky why he should say yes to Joe's idea.
