The sun shined through his window as bird chirped on the window sill the smell of morning dew filled the air as Sebek woke up for his morning routine. It was the week of Spring Break but he never skipped it for he must maintain appearance for his Waka-Sama. He looks over to the body in the bed across from him to see the silver haired boy passed out as always. He gets out of bed and walks to the bathroom down the hall to start getting ready for the day before anyone else is up he must get a head start on the day to prove he is worthy of being his Waka-Sama’s guard.
As he finished up in the bathroom he started cleaning the cottage that Master Lilia owned from their game night last night. Then he started his chores for the day the same from when he would spend the night when he was younger. Take out the trash, sweep the floor, put away the dishes, and cook breakfast. He didn’t always use to cook it’s just that his Waka-Sama didn’t know how to use a stove, Silver is always asleep, and no one wanted to risk Master Lilia cooking no offense to him but Sebek didn’t want to get sick or die this week. Now the hard part was figuring out what to make usually he would ask but no one was up so he made what he wanted and that was waffles.
He pulled out the eggs, milk, butter, flour, sugar, and baking powder. Then he took out heavy whipping cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla. Lastly, he took out the strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries. “Who do I look like Silver? I’m not lazy like him I always cook from scratch Waka-Sama likes it that way.” he said puffing his chest up with pride as he thinks about how Malleus likes when he cooks from scratch. Beside his uncle’s side of the family were bakers so this was easy to do anyways.
He started with making the whipped cream first that would take a bit more time than the rest of the other stuff. He took out the mixer that Lilia hasn’t ruined yet grateful that him, Silver, and Malleus hid it from Lilia. He washed his hands first, then he poured in the heavy whipping cream, some powdered sugar, and a splash of vanilla and started it on low mix as he washed the fruit and cut up the strawberries. He put the fruit on a platter then started the waffle batter he added the flour after he shifted it, sugar, and baking powder to a bowl and mixed them well. He added the eggs next, heated up the butter and added it to the mix, then put the milk in and mixed it up well. Once he finished mixing the batter he checked the whipped cream mix since it wasn’t done yet he turn it up slightly and moved onto making the waffles.
He took out the waffle maker and lets it heat up before he adds the batter making plates full of waffles. Once he finished the waffles themselves he went back to the whipped cream that had finished and was fluffy. He set the waffles, whipped cream, and fruit on the table then cleaned up the “mess” he made then got to think knights need protein and cooks sausage and bacon knowing Lilia and Silver preferred bacon over sausage and he didn’t want to upset anyone. After he finished cooking everything and cleaning up after himself placing everything on the table he went to wake everyone up. “WAKA-SAMA, MASTER LILIA, SILVER I MADE BREAKFAST AND IT’S READY AT THE TABLE SO GET UP!” he yelled knowing they heard. He here a thud which was most likely Silver falling out of bed like he does every morning.
The first on into the dinning room was Lilia who looked like he was up all night he sat down at his seat where a cup of coffee sat waiting for him while Sebek grimaced he may have hated Lilia’s cooking but he hated coffee more. Malleus walked in next also getting a cup of coffee making Sebek grimace even more he didn’t understand how his Waka-Sama could drink that poison in a cup. Lastly Silver came in grabbing his own cup of coffee and Sebek just gave up hope on these coffee drinkers and grabbed his cup of tea and sat in his seat by Silver. Sebek waited for the others to make their plates piled with waffles with whipped cream and fruit eon them and bacon or sausage on the side before fixing his own plate.
As they others ate they gave him compliments on his cooking and how good it was and thanking him for making it for them. He puffed up with pride the only he cooks was for this. To be acknowledged for something he did and enjoyed doing. This a good start to his break and he was all here for the praise. His cousin would be proud of his waffles so he took a picture of his waffles and sent it to his cousin. He set down his phone but not before his cousin sent back a heart emoji with the words “I have taught you well little cousin. Come by Heartslabyul any time and we can bake together.” Sebek smiled at that and went back to eating Trey just made his day.
