Work Text:
She loves me.....
She loves me not....
She loves me.....
She loves me not......
She loves me......
Those were the phrases that could be heard over and over again in the garden of sweet delights. It had been going on for hours but none of the trapped cookies dared to say anything.
She loves me.....
She loves me not.....
The phrases continued as if they were trying to hypnotise everyone that was inside the garden, as if she wanted to let them know about her pain.
She loves me....
She loves me not.....
She loves me.....
It didn’t seem stop, while petals after petals fell on the grass the phrases continued. The hands pulling on them weren’t as delicate anymore, they were shaking now.
She loves me not.....
she loves me....
Petals fell to the ground and before the cookie knew it there was one petal left.
“She loves me not.......”
The cookie said in a broken voice as she plucked the final petal of the flower and the threw the stem of it on the ground, now it was one of many flowers that had been plucked and got their petals removed by a desperate cookie.
It was worthless now, it had given the same answer just as all the other flowers.
“She has to love me! I’m her other half! She has to!” The pink doughed cookie yelled out loud, birds flew out of the trees from the sound of it, trying to find a place to hide.
“It’s not fair.......” she mumbled as she flew back up to one of the countless clouds. She laid down on one of them and closed her eyes. It would be better if she just went back to sleep.
She could count on pavlova cookie and the sugar angels to do the work inside the garden, what was her garden worth if her love wasn’t there?
The flowers had given her an answer, not the one she liked and not the one she would accept.
Hollyberry cookie would be hers, no matter what it takes, no matter how long it takes. With or without force, that cookie would be hers.
Even if she would risk her own life trying to get her.
