Work Text:
Agott found herself in the library, dosing off.
She had the Consent of the Crown coming up, and wanted to do well on it. She didn’t want to be dosing off, but hey, what can you do?
She raised her head off the desk, yawning, and smiled.
Not for long.
“SHOOT!” Agott thought. She may be startled, but she wasn’t about to yell in the library. Today was the day she was supposed to see Scientists of a Scientific Place: The Movie with her friends. She dashed out of her chair, gaining a puzzled glare from the librarian on duty.
She ran as fast as could to the theater, but it was too late. The chime of the clock belltower taunted her. Dejected, she drooped her head, kicked a pebble down the road, and headed back.
Unless.
She raced just as quickly back, gaining a now angry glare from the librarian on duty. What were they going to do, yell?
She quickly used the library’s scribcopier, and scribbled quickly to an illegal stream.
She couldn’t believe her eyes. It was working! She wasn’t with her friends, but she was watching it! Or listening to it, at least. The scribcopier could only draw on paper at roughly 7 seconds per scroll.
But she couldn’t care. She was happy to be relaxing after a long, hard day of studying. It was better than picking up the book still on her desk.
But alas, it wasn’t for long.
She looked over her shoulder, and saw a member of the Knights Moralis standing side by side with the librarian. “SHOOT!” Agott yelled. She was in trouble big time now.
“Listen kid, I don’t have time for this” the knight said, already starting the memory erasure process. “I’m just going to wipe your memories for the past little bit, just so you don’t remember the movie, m’kay?” Agott fell asleep.
The librarian and the knight left, satisfied. They exchanged pleasantries, and inadvertently planted a seed for a rumor in the process.
Agott found herself in the library, dosing off.
She had the Consent of the Crown coming up....
