Felix was utterly bored out of his little mind. This peasant school was not up to his standards in the slightest, and he could barely wait for the moment he was able to return home and complain to Father about this experience. Not a single thing in this classroom entertained him, and he refused to speak with any of the vermin he had to call his classmates.
So, Felix was left sitting alone, with his back pressed to the stage he refused to perform on, solemnly picking at the carpet. He was so lost in thought he doesn't realise that somebody had sat next to him until he feels a weight against his shoulder.
"What the–" Felix snaps his head towards this new pressure against him, ready to pull away and let whatever dared to touch him drop to the floor… but then he sees it was Kid, half-asleep, resting against him. Ah.
Kid was the only person inside of this school that Felix didn't think lowly of. Not highly, of course, because Felix did not think highly of people, but Kid always existed on neutral ground. He wasn't sure why Kid got this priority other others, but he did.
"Are you, uhm, alright?" Felix asks softly, shifting how he held his shoulders so Kid did not have to strain his neck as much. With the height difference lessened, Felix noticed how much more comfortable Kid became, his face relaxing.
Felix swallowed, ignoring the way his cheeks start to heat up.
"Very well then," he practically whispers, looking away so he would not admire how peaceful Kid looked when he was in this state. Good God, how little sleep does he get to make it so he falls asleep the second his head hits my shoulder?
That thought is quickly pushed out of his mind, because Felix Huxley does not care about people. He did not hold any concern for Kid, even if he wraps a hand around his waist to pull him closer, ensuring him optimal rest. That was not concern, it was simply saving Kid the embarrassment of his head falling off of Felix's shoulder. His hand on his side just made sure he would stay in place, of course, no matter how hard Felix blushed at the proximity.
