   Summary

   D3rlord was dead. The memory of him—of everything he was, everything he is—was gone. But it wasn't. And he wasn't dead.

   D3rlord was alive. He hadn't died. He'd thought he would—but he didn't. He should've, but he didn't. The King had merged their minds—by all accounts, he should've died. But he didn't. He was supposed to be dead, and he wasn't.

   The end of DAWTDE made me upset. I rewrote it because I wanted a happy ending. I'm out of practice though, so this fic sucks.
