Summary
Even in his dreams, Kazuha sees Kunikuzushi with painful clarity. Tonight, golden light spills onto him, the wind sings in whispers around him, and all the world’s colours fade next to his brilliant smile. Kazuha’s agonised heart flips at the sight of him.
Kazuha would cleave himself open if it meant Kunikuzushi would touch him. Maybe those slender fingers would roam his skin, discovering little corners that make him squirm. Maybe those lips would suck bruises into his neck, kiss his mouth, devour him in a rush of heat.
And Kazuha would come alive. The world would jump into focus, vividly real. But tonight, he satisfies himself with impossible dreams, laughing breathlessly against Kuni’s lips.
For now, this is enough. It has to be.
Kazuha is cursed to suffer unimaginable pain if he's not directly touching Kunikuzushi.

okay wow. normally single chapter fics don’t hit as hard as multi ones do for me but this??????? incredible. teared up halfway through and my eyes never dried (still not dry btw + my heart hurts the happy ending wasnt enough) anyway super obsessed with this will be rereading
