Pin was in her room. She didn't care to go outside, it was too loud for the thumbtack, with all the constant rambling about obscure topics that everybody except for Pin cared for. Or maybe she was just too tired. She thought about things for a while, how long it was since she started competing for Dream Island, and now she was here, battling for magical powers that a talking number held. She used to be so competitive, but now she felt as if she didn't want to battle for prizes anymore. Pin didn't notice her mind slowly drifting from her body as she fell into a dream. It wasn't like her usual dreams. It felt more real compared to the dreams she usually had. It was like she was back at the day of the first challenge of BFDI. She was on the wooden platform again.
"...Leafy? I hope this is just you as a dream version, as I'd probably freak out if it was really you. Imagine the real Leafy, stalking me in my dream..!"
The words escaped Pin's mouth as she raised her head to meet the face of the lemon leaf. Leafy seemed more tense, her eyes narrowing when Pin came to her senses. Leafy held out her hand, stretching it out so that the thumbtack who was sat on the edge of the platform. Pin took her hand sheepishly, letting go as soon as she stood up. After a few moments of silence, Leafy replied to Pin's remark.
"No, I'm not some clone of myself that your mind created specifically for this dream. I am Leafy."
"Oh corkboard. So you're telling me you are actually Leafy, and we are sharing a dream?"
Leafy turned to face away from her. She knew Pin already knew that they were sharing a dream, but the red object questioned her anyways. The lemon leaf yelled at Pin to follow her and without a choice, she trailed behind tentatively. They were walking towards the end of the platform.
