Summary:

„Castaspella! What don’t you understand?! Light Spinner is dead! Don't expect me to have anything in common with her. It’s my dead past.”

“But.. you still are Beatrix.”

“Casta. It isn’t the same and you know that. I am not the Beatrix you knew. You cannot cling to the past after all that has happened!“

Chapter Text

Castaspella flattened her gown as she walked down the corridors of the Bright Moon castle. It was utterly annoying- first Angella would ignore her letters for months, then reopen the princess allience out of the blue and still all she cared about was that Castaspella would be there as a representative of mystacor. A single nice word? A thank you that you showed up and agreed to help, even though I was a total bitch? In her dreams. Annoyingly this was her duty, so she’d have to go after it. Plus it was all Glimmers and her friends idea. Who was she to refuse?

She stopped in front of a door, guarded by two Bright Moon soldiers. Recognizing her, one of them opened the door giving her entrance. The head soceress cleared her throat before she stepped into the dimly litten room.

“Shadow Weaver.”

The woman, surrounded by a spell and sitting on a broad armchair while reading a book, liftet her gaze. Seeing who entered she laid down the book beside her and straightend her back.

“Well well, look whose decided to face me alone.”

“face you? Please. I simply wanted to make sure that your stay in this ‘prison’ is to your liking.”

Shadow Weaver laughed dryly.

“So you agree with me that this is a ridiculous prison? Not that I am complaining. It is quite comfortable.”

Castaspella rolled her eyes as she came closer, stepping through the spell and standing in front of the sitting woman. She crossed her arms.

“I am actually here, because I didn’t get the chance to really talk to you with Angella in the room. I also don’t get why you had to embarrass me like that. I obviously didn’t put the truth spell on you, because you might’ve said something extremely dumb. Instead of thanking me or at least shutting up, you-“

“You’ve always been like this. Why still help? I, in fact thought it was foolish of you to do so.”

“Well we did-“

“Have a past together? Is that what you are trying to say? Please Head soceress.”

“Will you stop calling me that? And sorry I tried to help you out. I guess that isn’t something i’ll be doing in the time to come then. If it makes you so uncomfortable. May I sit?”

Shadow Weaver scooted to the right side of the armchair, leaving enough space for Castaspella to sit.
After a short silence Castaspella looked at the older woman.

“You seem confident with your new.. design.”

She awkwardly gestured towards the mask.

“Design? Well, I guess you could say that.. I don’t feel the need dissemble with you though. You know it’s because of the scars.”

“Let me see. Tragically I am forgetting your face.”

Shadow Weaver let out a mocking laugh.

“And what makes you think you’d have the privilege.”

Castaspella shrugged and shiftet uncomfortably.

“I won’t pretend we don’t know each other! At least when we’re alone. I still remember how we were all those years ago in mystacor. Even though you broke up with me, doesn’t mean that you didn’t still have feelings for me.”

Shadow Weaver scoffed.

“Look at me Castaspella. I am nothing like back then. If anything that was a big mistake.”

Without another word Castaspella stood up.

“Have fun in your fucking prison then.”

She turned around and stomped out with as much grace as possible.

Castaspella found herself in her temporary room, slamming the door. What did that sick woman think of herself? She needed to take a hot bath to think about this.

After wrapping herself in a fluffy bathrobe, she grabbed some liquor she had found in the kitchen earlier. After emptying the bottle halfway, someone knocked on her door. A bit tipsy, Casta opened it, facing Glimmer, who immediately eyed her with a concerned look.

“Glimmer? What’s the matter so late? Shouldn’t you be in bed?”

“Auntie, there’s-“

Glimmer paused.

“Are you drunk?”

“Just a bit tipsy, is it that noticeable?”

Glimmer shrugged and quickly explained,

“Well, I’m here because of Shadow Weaver. I wanted to stop Adora from sneaking in and accidentally teleported insi- uhh I mean a guard reported her blabbering in her sleep.“

“Ugh that nasty old woman haunts me even when she isn’t here! I'll teleport into her room to listen. Lets just hope she says something useful about the horde so I can finally stop interrogating her!”

Casta drew a few symbols into the air and found herself back in the dark room, next to the entrance. A few steps from her laid Shadow Weaver on a couch with her face towards her.

She even sleeps with her mask on! She’s crazy!

Casta thought to herself, as she made the cage spell disappear and slowly stepped closer. It was impossible to tell if the woman was asleep or not, if it weren’t for her rhythmic breathing and relaxed posture.

Approaching the sofa, Casta heard her quietly mumbling something. She knitted her brows curiously, stepping even closer, determined to find out what the sleeping woman was saying. Suddenly the muttering stopped. Just when Casta backed away thinking she had woken up and was scared of the woman seeing her stare at her kind of creepily, Shadow Weaver scrunched to a ball and let out quiet whimpers. Whimpers? Shadow Weaver was capable of producing such sounds?
Seeing the woman all curled up making those hurting noises, her breath becoming more laboured, made Casta snap back into presence. She grabbed Shadow Weavers shoulder shaking it violently.

“Shadow Weaver!”

The woman jolted awake, gasping for air.

“Castaspella? Where-”

“What was that? Did you just have a nightmare?”

“Dont act so surprised.” Shadow Weaver sat up, her breathing slowing down.

“I must admit that I am rather taken aback. What was it about? You surely looked like someone was about to take your life!”

Shadow Weaver rolled her eyes at the personal question from the soceress.

“I just sometimes get reminded of the spell I once persuaded.”

“The Spell of obtainment?”

“Yes, it unfortunately is incredibly pathetic, but I cannot control my dreams at the moment. I don’t have the power for any spells to stop this, but I can handle it.”

“You’re shaking. Don’t play the hero with me. Plus this shows you do regret your actions. This might be the first step of going back to who you once were.”

Shadow Weaver huffed.

“You interpret this a false way Castaspella. I do not regret anything.”

“You could at least try to!”

“Why would I want to go back after all the sacrifices I’ve made?”

“You should’ve learned from them by now! Why won’t you try to live your life as you did when you were Light Spinner?!”

Shadow Weavers lifeless white eye sockets narrowed drastically.

“Castaspella! What don’t you understand?! Light Spinner is dead! Don't expect me to have anything in common with her. It’s my dead past.”

“But.. you still are Beatrix.”

“Casta! It isn’t the same and you know that. I am not the Beatrix you knew. You cannot cling to the past after all that has happened, not only in my life but also in yours. We aren’t tutor and student anymore. We can’t play around. I answer to Beatrix only because it was my mother’s name to me."

“Why can’t we just go back to the way we once were?”

Castaspella fell into Shadow Weavers arms. She dug her face into the red fabric of her dress and let out a single sob.
With a pitiful expression under her mask, she wrapped her arms around the slightly sobbing woman, pulling her on her lap.

“We cannot ignore the past Casta. I myself have too many wounds, too deep scars to prove that.”

Casta came face to face with the wine red mask.

“How could I judge on that when I haven’t even seen your face properly since then?”

“No Casta… You know I won’t.”

“Won’t what? Just lower your mask? I know what the Spell of obtainment did. More than anyone else. A few scars won’t kill the fact that I ….”

“Do not finish that sentence Castaspella, it’s better that way.”

Castaspella just gave her a hurt look,

“… still love you”

Shadow Weaver stared at her through the mask, unintentionally gripping Castas sides a bit tighter.

“Why?! Why, Casta after all these years! I’ve changed too much!”

“I don’t know either.. Seeing you ripped open my heart and all those feelings I buried all that time ago burst free. I can’t decide if I want to love you or not. I don’t expect you to return anything, but I won’t play a long game and get hurt all over again.”

Casta nervously raised her head looking up to the woman, slowly putting her arms around her neck. Shadow Weaver didnt react until Castas fingers twirled in her hair.

“Do you see in what position you are pressuring me? I don’t want to pretend I am the same as Light Spinner. I stand for my actions!”

“I understood that! As you can see, I.. still love you nontheless.”

“I have nothing in common with Light Spinner, Castaspella.”

“I don’t care! Of course change over time is inevitable. Even though you’re nothing like back then, you can’t change that you are the same person. The person I fell in love with.”

Shadow Weaver seemed to think intently before answering,

“If I take my mask off, you must promise to…”

“Anything. I promise anything.”

“Then.. you may.”

Casta nodded, carefully taking the edges of the mask and lifting it off Shadow Weavers face. Shadow Weaver inhaled sharply, yet remained on the couch with Casta on her lap. The younger Woman reached out to caress her cheek.

“You.. you’re beautiful.”

Shadow Weaver snorted.

“Oh don’t you come up with those unnecessary lies. I know what I look like, you don’t have to pretend. I understand Iif you want me to put my mask back on. It’d scare anyone.”

“what no! I- I mean it. Believe me.”

Casta leaned closer kissing where her hand had layed just a moment ago. Feeling how Shadow Weaver tensed under her soft kiss, she continued over her face. The tip of her nose, her forehead, her other cheek and right next to her mouth. She gently let her hand brush over one of the deepest scars exposed right over her mouth. Casta looked up, only to meet Shadow Weaver eyes, that were now filled with mixed emotions.
Shadow Weaver pulled her forward without a warning, meeting her in a passionate Kiss. Casta hungrily kissed back, shoving her hands into the black voluminous hair. They both continued shoving their tongues into their mouths, yet as Shadow Weaver showed no sign of doing anything more, Casta couldn’t help but let her hips grind on the older womans leg with a grunt. Shadow Weaver chuckled as she broke the Kiss.

“If you are this eager you just have to ask.”

The scorcoress taunted.

“You’d wish that.”

Casta replied still panting,

“I think you are just as needy as I am. Not to be rude, but when was the last time you fucked someone? I doubt that you have that many opportunities in the Horde.”

“Well, you had to be experimental. I could show you what knowledge that required.”

Shadow Weavers Hand slid up Castaspellas inner thigh, causing her hips to push towards her hand once more. Her clawed hand grazed the underwear the sorcoress wore under her dress, realizing that Casta was dripping.

“My my, all this for me?”

“Oh shut up and do it already.”

Shadow Weaver hummed without any remarks, quickly stripping Castaspella of her panties. She brushed the womans clit, careful not to hurt her with her claws. At the contact Casta groaned wanting more. Casta pulled down her gown to let her breasts jump free. Her gown was hanging on her stomach, leaving her upper and lower half exposed.
They found themselves in a proper rythm, two of Shadow Weavers fingers digging into casta, who still sat on top of Shadow Weaver, clinging at her shoulders.

“D-dont you think its a little unfair that-ah-You still get to be dressed?”

“Making such comments when you’re the one at my mercy? Be happy with what you get. Unless you want more?”

“Ah- yes please..”

With that Shadow Weaver gripped her hair with her free hand, doubling the speed of her fingers. Castas mouth was open and her head thrown back, as she reached for her own breast. But Shadow Weaver beat her to it, lapping her mouth on her breast, eagerly sucking on her nipple. She slapped her fingers deep into Casta, hitting that spot and her clit at the same time, over and over again.
Casta couldn't surpress a high pitched moan and shuddered as she quickly came. She lately has been way too preoccupied with her job to have anything near a sex life.
Shadow Weaver properly let her ride out her orgasm before discharging her fingers.

Casta grinned tired from the high.

“You next?”

“Another time dear. You’re almost falling asleep already. Your day was exhausting lets try to get some rest.”

Casta grabbed the woman’s hand before she could wipe off her cum anywhere. Shadow Weaver didn’t pull back, as Casta slowly took the two fingers into her mouth, her tounge slowly licking them clean.

Enjoying the warmth of her mouth, Shadow Weaver chuckled, petting over Castaspellas hair.

“This won’t convince me to another round Casta.”

Casta shrugged.

“Still sexy though, right?”

As Casta laid down, Shadow Weaver quickly took off the upper layer of her gown, came back and lied down, slightly spooning casta.

“So you’re gonna sleep without your mask this time?”

“This once.”

They did not think this through at all and when Castaspella awoke, the sun lighty shone inside the room, creating a soft atmosphere. Feeling Shadow Weavers body right behind her, Casta couldn't help, but playfully press her ass into it. Shadow Weaver stirred groaning.

“Good morning sunshine.”,

Castaspella sarcastically said.

“What a wonderful day must be to come, when I awake from the Head soceresses ass pressed against my crotch.”

Shadow Weaver teased.

“Teasing so early in the morning? You must’ve had a good night's sleep after all.”

“You won’t believe me when I say that I did.”

Castaspella, suddenly serious, turned over, facing Shadow Weavers bare face.

“Because of yesterday.. what I-“

Castaspella couldn’t finish her sentence as voices from in front of the door interrupted her.

“No, she wasn’t in her room… interrogate… crazy… “

Alarmed Castaspella jumped from the couch.
The first thing Shadow Weaver immediately grabbed was her mask, placing it on her face.
Without thinking, Castaspella sprinted to hide behind the waterfall………
