Work Text:
Rays of Marco
Buildings start to curve
As I stare into the sun
Floating lazily in the vast blue sky.
With burning eyes aflame, I gaze on
Hoping to absorb whatever warmth I can get
From its bright, freckled face
And soft rays of light
That kindly embrace me
As you once did.
I see your face in the great glowing orb.
Your slender, gentle fingers reaching for me.
Yet when I reach back to hold
The rosy curves of your delicate face,
All I feel are the curved buildings
That straighten out
As I realize you’re gone.
