Summary
Coat reached out his hand to grab the can that tapped him but he was reaching further than he needed too. Coat shifted his posture, knees now in contact with the floor, hands firmly grasping Yesenin’s wrist. The touch felt warm, electrifying even. For once it felt like they were the only residents in the house, and a foreign feeling bubbled in Yesenin’s chest. It was a yearning that’s been suppressed for years in his life finally gaining flame, a feeling he’d never thought would be experienced even when facing death.
“I want you.”

Summary
The pain hit like a red-hot needle, sharp and sudden. At first, it was a sting - annoying, like a splinter - but within seconds, it spread, blooming outward in a slow, searing burn.
His fingers gently grazed over a small bump, sending more shocks of pain through the surrounding area. Even under the light touch of his hand, he could feel the swollen skin stretched too tight over the inflamed tissue.
The pain was all consuming, all but taking his breath away. He let out an involuntary groan.
In moments, Jean suddenly appeared in front of him, his hand reaching out to grip his shoulder firmly. Marco could see his lips moving, like maybe he was saying his name, but he couldn’t make anything out other than the sound of his own gasping.
Before he knew it, he was slipping out of Jean’s hands and falling to his knees.

Summary
Jean has long thought Marco Bodt, his best friend and maybe something more, to be long dead, and he thought, maybe, that he'd made his peace with it. That was how life was, as a soldier. People die, and people don't come back.
But after a report comes in from spy stationed in Marley, he learns that might not be the case.
Jean quickly realises that dead things have a bad habit of not staying dead, and that it takes a thousand times longer to put things back together than it takes to break them apart.
