Chapter Text
The dynamic of the square-obsessed block and the jester were.. let’s say.. different. they always managed to turn anything into an argument whenever you put them beside each other.
And well, it was getting too frequent, much to the dismay of their friends.
“Wait! This pattern HAS to be square shaped!”
“We already tried that, not EVERYTHING has to be square-shaped you.. Idiot!”
“Hey, you’re also obsessed with triangles just as I am with squares!”
“Well, at least my personality doesn’t just revolve around a shape!”
They started bickering again, right in the middle of the pattern challenge Six made. Their friends had to keep an eye on these two every single time they hang out.
“Five, we have to do something about it..!” The little red block tugged on the rockstar’s gloves.
“Please! I can’t take their arguments anymore!” The other block chimed in, mimicking One and instead tugged at her feet. They just finished hanging out with them and came to see her.
The cyan-colored block almost stumbled by the weight of the duo.
“Woah.. slow down there friends.. is this about Three and Four again?” Her voice was calm and gentle, easing the panic of the two.
“Yeah..” Both answered in unison.
“Of course it is..” She let out a small, amused eyeroll, then looked below.
“Get up you two, you both look silly right now!” The rockstar planted her hands on her hips as they let her go..
“Sorry Five!” The duo giggled.
“But, back to the topic again.. What exactly did they do this time?” Five asked.
“We just had a picnic..”
“Then they suddenly argued about which flavor was better..”
“And next thing we know they started throwing hands...”
“Not even us combined can help the situation, she’d just add fuel to the fire..!”
They finished each other’s sentences as they gave her a pleading expression.
“That’s getting out of hand..!” Five commented, raising her gloved hand.
“Exactly Five! That’s why we came to you.. What do we do to stop this madness!?” The red block stammered.
“...”
“Well.. we can try separating them, right?” The starry-eyed block suggested, yet her shoulders lifted in an unsure shrug.. much to the raising concern of the two.
“Are you sure it would work though..?” Two’s voice trailed with uncertainty. “I mean.. we can’t exactly separate them since they’re next to each other in the number line.”
“You’re right for that Two.. we can’t break the rule of counting if we do that..” One added.
“Well, there’s no harm in trying!” Five shrugged. “If anything, this should be something that we have to take action on, considering that they are our friends.” She tightened her gloved hand into a gentle, encouraging fist. The red and orange blocks nod in agreement.
“Soo.. how exactly are we going to do this?”
