   Derry, Maine, United States. 1962.
   What happens when you put two cosmic horrors in the same territory with limited space?

   When the lovely Mary Poppins settles in Derry, she uses her magic umbrella and reliable carpetbag to babysit, protect the innocence of children, and quietly wage a war against the malicious creature in the sewers.

   Witnessing the newcomer, Pennywise’s displeasure immeasurable, it kickstarts a twisted game of obsession and dominance. Stuck between a rock and a hard place, Mary is torn between protecting the children, keeping the Losers Club in check, pesky airmen digging their noses into where they really really shouldn’t, and a twisted cosmic clown that seems hellbent on bargaining lives. Forcing her to face an uncomfortable reality of their kind that feels more like a dreadful glance in the mirror than any sensible self-reflection.

   ||THIS IS A SLOWBURN! Two cosmic horrors with completely opposing viewpoints don’t bond immediately, y’know? This fic follows the plot of IT: Welcome to Derry, is written for fun, and is based on the theory that Mary Poppins and Pennywise are the same species.||
