Nerdy Prudes Kill Dragons

Summary:

What happens if you cross NPMD and D&D after watching NPMD and Season 0 of REALM back to back?

This is what happens, welcome to Hatchetfield, home of 5 nerdy prudes that need to beat beings from the Black And White in the hopes of restoring all they've lost.

Notes:

hi! if your here now, i guess your here for the proposal! I've been planning this a bit in my head the last couple of days but as i want to individually roll for each character every single time anything instigates for checks or combat, i will only do this if there's some niche appeal (i see you NPMD and REALM fans, im one of you too)

Chapter 1: The Initial Proposal (Feel Free to Skip)

Chapter Text

The Nerdy Prudes Must Die x D&D AU by Cherri

The basic premise of this is it'll start based within the confines of NPMD, then potentially expand out into the other Hatchetfield musicals (and possibly beyond).
The "big bad" persay is still the Lords In Black, every couple of chapters there may be a direct fight with a Lord, whether finishing in their defeat or them retreating to return stronger later.
Now onto the other basics:

Nerds -> Proposed Species & Class
• Steph -> Tiefling Cleric
• Ruth -> Halfling Bard
• Grace -> Half Tiefling, Half Human Paladin
• Richie -> Wood Elf Druid
• Peter -> Wood Elf Rogue

I chose these based on what felt right to me, but also some characterisation I want to do (especially around Grace & Steph, just you wait for that).

Each character will have a specific skill that is drastically higher than the others, this skill will automatically equate to a Nat 20 (to save myself time). The following skills are:
• Steph -> Intimidation
• Ruth -> Stealth
• Grace -> Religion
• Richie -> Survival
• Peter -> Investigation

Again, these skills are chosen based on some characterisation stuff I want to do, and also like I said, it'll save me time when rolling for stuff constantly.

I'll be making a google doc of sorts that'll be available to view through the campaign that I'll try keep up-to-date as possible. The doc would include things like my random notes as I "play" the campaign, all character sheets (so this would be for the nerds, the lords, and other key characters).

I would potentially be looking for a few beta readers, ideally with some level of D&D knowledge, but I don't mind too much. I have never had beta readers before though, so excuse me if I have no idea how to manage that if I do go through with that.

Hence that concludes the proposal, I don't want to reveal too much just yet. Feel free to ask any questions in the comments, I'll be trying to reply ASAP!!
