Work Text:
The annoyance made itself known the moment you glanced at the calendar last week and noticed the red circle around Wednesday. Because around that time of the month, it always felt like your womb had decided to declare a war against your will to live.
Today morning had felt bearable, but of course the moment Max came over to your place and you were lounging on your bed with your university books, did your womb decide to start kicking around, punishing you for not getting bred this month. You groaned slightly, putting your hand over your lower stomach. Max looked up as she saw you shifting, and you sighed.
“Just biology reminding itself about my womb existing,” you bitterly muttered, and Max sighed.
“Figured as much. And this is exactly why you have the best girlfriend in the world,” she announced and bended over to pull her backbag onto your bed from the floor and opened the zipper before handing you a bag you hadn’t seen in quite some while. “You told me once that this is your favourite snack but it was discontinued. Turns out it’s still being made in the UK.”
You blinked. “…you ordered these from the UK?”
She laughed. “No, I visited a little shop that sells European treats, I saw that and remembered your description of how these look like.”
“Oh, Max—”
“I also got us a movie,” she interrupted you, pulling out a VHS tape. “We can just cuddle and take it easy.”
You stared at the movie and the snacks, the pain momentarily dulled from the overwhelming feeling of being loved. In the end, you only got out, “What have I done to deserve you?”
“I told you,” she said, smiling. “You have the best girlfriend in the world.”
You laughed and leaned down to kiss her. “That you are.”
