Love shown through an egregious amount of flowers
Its been a few months since Avery and Derek has worked together to fully rid of The King in Yellow. Through combined efforts on each part, they both survived and barely made it out. Once they defeated The King in Yellow, Avery immediately asked where Derek lived so he could make sure he is okay, considering he was glued to his screen and all that. He was passed out right after telling Avery.
AveryTheMayo: heh so mucj for online safety
Avery expected a reply along the lines of "Shut up" or "You're the one…"
*a minute passes*
AveryTheMayo: der? ya good?
*30 seconds*
AveryTheMayo: derek!?!?
"shit shit i should've just called 911 immediately fuck fuck uhh-"
Avery panicked and called 911 and prayed for the first time ever so that Derek would survive. Derek had to stay in the hospital for a month to get better. He was in a coma for a few weeks. Avery visited him everyday making sure to give him flowers and gifts. He always went to Derek, held his hand, and told him about his day. It always lifts up his spirits and helps him with his doubts despite not being to actually able to talk to Derek since hes in a coma.
Jan. 17, XXXX
Avery goes to meet Derek at the hospital. He makes sure to bring more flowers since the ones at the hospital are starting to wilt. He brings the same mix of flowers for Derek. He brings Basil, Pink Camellia, White Hyacinth, Hyssop, Blue Salvia and Red roses. Not knowing the meaning behind it (LIE!) and not caring to see if the colors look good anyway. (he searched up flower meanings) The nurse recognizes him and lets him through. When he gets to Dereks door, he sees a doctor by the door. "Ah, Avery. Derek is waiting for you" Confused, Avery goes in anyway. He then hears a familiar voice.
"Avery?"
"Derek!?"
Avery stumbles in and sees him, he takes a while, taking in his beauty, shocked that hes alive.
"Holy shit!! Der!" Avery runs to his bed and hugs him while holding the flowers. Derek smiles at the nickname. He didnt expect that Avery would use the name outside minecraft. He then returns the hug with as much energy as he can muster.
"Are these for me Aves?" Derek says while a smirk creeps up his face.
"Oh yeah I uh- just thought it would be nice ya know?"
Derek is about to say something then realizes the meaning of these flowers. His face instantly turns red.
"Uh- Derek? You good?"
I mean, theres no way this dumbass chud knows the meaning of these flowers… right?
He brushes it off then he finally gets a good look of Averys face.
"Youre beautiful Aves- I remember how you look like. The infinite knowledge stuff is gone now but I still remember how your face looked like. Its perfect"
Avery flushes, he starts stumbling on his words. "Oh- uh yeah uh thanks I guess?" He rubs the back of his neck.
Derek, not realizing what he did, just smiles at him. Then Avery tells Derek everything he missed.
