Work Text:
Arcade sat on the soft, albeit dirty carpet on the floor of the courier's room in Novac. He along with Courier Six, Veronica, Cass, and Boone had just liberated Nelson from the Legion securing it for the NCR and taking some of the pressure off Camp Forlorn Hope. After receiving their reward from Ranger Milo and Major Polati respectively they made their way back to Novac. However the reward was mostly armour and weapons, nice things to have definitely but you couldn't survive of them. So the plan was to go back to Novac and in the morning they'd do some odd jobs for enough caps to keep them afloat and make the next leg of their journey.
It's 2200 and for the last few hours Arcade, Six, Veronica, and Cass have been doing anything to keep themselves entertained card games, drinking, gossiping etc. Meanwhile Boone is at his old nightshift job at Dinky. Those inside the room are now bored out of there minds but can't get to sleep so they get drunk of course; scrounging up some of Cass' whiskey and any other booze they can find.
As they get drunk off thier asses they go through some old clothes they find in the room there some are Six's own, some were left by the previous resident, and some they managed to borrow from the New Reno singer nearby. They went through these and Veronica decided to try on that fancy dress Six got her from the White Gloves; the flowy cream white dress fit veronica like a glove; and the companions broke into drunken applause. Veronica then got that smirk that always ment she was planning something devious, "Oh six, I have an idea," she taunts. The Courier cocks an eyebrow and wearily asks "And what's that?" Veronica has a wicked smirk "You should try this on." Cass cheered "Hell yeah," Six just groaned but secretly wasn't opposed and Arcade avoided eye contact imagining the courier in a dress; God he'd look so good Arcade thought silently cursing himself for it.
After a lot of convincing (peer pressuring) The Courier finally relented so Veronica pulled him aside and stripped him to just his singlet and underwear. Cass feeling unashamed wolf whistled at the sight of his toned muscles and flushed face; Arcade blushed blaming it on the whiskey of course, Veronica rolled her eyes at their reactions and as for Six himself? He was blushing fully his tanned skin tinting pink, not letting those dark brown eyes Arcade found himself looking at a bit to often make eye contact with anyone.
Next, Veronica put the dress on Six, ever so slightly too tight which just made him blush more. Cass smirked and called out a teasing "Looking good Courier!" Which earned her a glare. Arcade found himself strangely attracted to The Courier in the dress, he always thought his type was more masculine and beefy men, which the Courier sort of met usually; not feminine men wearing women's clothing. Maybe it was just Six no matter how he looked Arcade liked. A dangerous thought crept into Arcade's mind What he looks like without all those clothes? He quickly pushed that thought out of his mind, Six couldn't like him, Arcade had seen him with men before but would be go for Arcade certainly not.
Veronica still not satisfied pulled him aside into the bathroom mirror to go put on some makeup, which the courier begrudgingly let her do. A few minutes later she displayed him proudly with cherry red lipstick, mascara, a light blush, black eyeliner and a wig with blonde hair covering his usually curly chestnut-brown hair. Cass yet again cheered, Veronica looked proud of her work, Six himself was still timid but slightly more proud and Arcade? His tail wagged like a Weiner dog for Six in drag. Boone who walked in to check on them just turned on his heel and went back outside, The Courier almost looked like a knock off version of Carla, which was too painful for him to deal with.
And God did Arcade want to see him without all those clothes and eventually he got to.
Epilogue
The next morning they went out to find the threat to the McBride's brahmin which was a Nightline they promptly took out. The McBrides rewarded them handsomely, a few hundred caps and practically half a brahmin in meat. Certainly enough to get them enough to reach the 188 where they could trade for more supplies. Arcade and Six were now dating and holding hands which Cass teased them endlessly about. Boone didn't seem to care and Veronica seemed almost proud, and so they went off to get revenge on Benny and change the fate of the Mojave forever.
