If he wasn't in China, Fort could be spending the night with the Trofi staff - his friends - unwinding and having fun after spending the day at the amusement park.
But Fort shakes his head and reaches across the seat to find Peat's hand without looking, wrapping it in his long fingers and drawing it up to his lips to press a lingering kiss against Peat's knuckles. He moves Peat's hand to his cheek, and Peat can feel as well as hear Fort talk.
