Two men sit at the edge of the universe, the sounds of their raucous laughter reverberating throughout the air.
Seems like they’re having a picnic.
“So then he told me, ‘Cease your drivel this instant or I’ll have you drawn and quartered by sunrise!’ Who even does that anymore? It was the 20th century!” Noli explains, gesturing wildly while laughing.
“Seriously!?” 007n7 exclaims, his voice slightly muffled by the sandwich he's eating.
“Seriously.”
“I had to bite my tongue just to keep myself from laughing, but I guess it was obvious how funny I found the whole situation because next thing I knew, I was getting dragged out of the courtyard and into the streets!” Noli continues. The pair have been engaged in an animated conversation about the previous king of the void, Azurewrath, for the past 4 hours. Although you could hardly call it a conversation, as it was more akin to Noli rattling off as many stories as he could remember about them while 007n7 listens.
Not that 007n7 minds of course. This is the most entertaining 'conversation' he’s had in years.
"As hilarious as it all was, I didn't want to fucking DIE, so I tried pleading my case to the guards, but they weren't having any of it! Nobody even considered for one second that I might be innocent!"
"It's not like I did anything wrong! All I did was make jokes, isn't that what jesters are supposed to do?" Noli leans back, planting his hands firmly on the blanket beneath him. Its times like this that make Noli wonder how he ended up here. Him, of all people, a god beyond human comprehension, Having a cutesy little picnic with a mortal he met only 2 years ago, relaying tales from long ago with great enthusiasm while eating sandwiches.
Speaking of sandwiches, seems like 007n7 ate them all. (Fatass.)
