I am going to be editing this fic regularly with new information. Please refer to the “last updated” AO3 feature if you notice something changed since you last saw it!
The big thing in my AU is the exploration of the relationship between different characters post-Vanguard’s founding. While this is the main focus, I am going to be providing relevant history with each character. Ion and Bumaro are combined as Bumaro is the only one Ion is capable of interacting with. If two characters were involved in something, I will explain the situation in more detail in the first character’s section, then elaborate on the other character’s thoughts in their section. For example, Orok’s escape is explained in Saarn’s section since she is listed before him and was involved, and then his thoughts are listed in his section
Here are some of the important dates:
1919–Saint Hedwig is transferred to the AI.
1940–Bumaro returns!
1942–the rebuilt false-Mekhane thing happens. I forgot the actual canon year and can’t find it… Bumaro takes over the church a few years after, long after old Bumaro was killed.
1990–The COTBG alliance is made
2001–Trunnion is officially established as the head-legate after a century of serving as such.
2015–Orok and Saarn meet and live together
2020–Vanguard is established before covid over runs the world. In the chaos of quarantine, most of the administrative efforts are postponed. However, information about the anomalous spreads
2021–The organization is putting itself together. This is when most of the characters meet up
2022+–If I ever write anything in the present tense, these are the years I am referring to.
