Summary
Buck feels like someone took the rug underneath his feet the minute the car explodes. He watches in slow motion as Eddie flies in the air then slams hard on the ground, his head thumping inside his helmet a couple of times.
‘’Eddie!’’ Buck screams trying to get to him as soon as possible but several strong hands hold him back.
‘’Buckley, stand down!’’ Chimney yells from behind.
‘’Eddie,’’ Buck mutters again eyes locked on Eddie’s unmoving body. Then, his nose flares, anger bubbles up as he pushes hard at firefighters holding him and manages to escape when the car explodes the second time.
‘’No. No. Eddie!’’
