Chapter Text
Porchay’s life has never been easy. As hard as Porsche tried. The Kittisawat brothers had struggled to just scrape by most days.
While Porsche had dropped out of school in the 10th grade to be able to support them both, by working two part time jobs and going to an underground fight club most nights, Porchay had a secret.
A big one.
From the age of thirteen he had been leading a drug dealing operation. It had started off small, stealing random medications from his uncle and selling them to the older kids at school. But the business only grew from there. With the money he had made from selling the small stash of drugs and pills from the bathroom cabinet he decided he could use it to buy more to sell to people.
Over time he grew a fairly stable business he ran with his good friend Ohm. Him and Ohm had been friends for a long time and when his friend discovered the secret operation he had created, Ohm wanted to help. So instead of it being a one man operation it became a two man operation.
They had started renting a small house to use as a supply house and sometimes a business office. This was after Porsche had almost caught them stashing a new lot of coke they had gotten from a dealer earlier that day.
With the money Porchay got from his business he used to secretly pay off the debt collectors that frequented his home. Unbeknownst to Porsche when he was trying to get more money for them by going to the underground fight ring, the debt collectors would drop by their house. Without Porsche’s protection for the collectors harsh punches and brutal kicks, Chay was left to take the fall for the debt they owed. The punishments started off with black eyes, scrapes and shallow cuts, which Porchay artfully covered with stolen makeup left behind by his mother or borrowed from a worried Yok and carefully chosen long sleeved shirts. As the years continued the punishments got worse, Porchay began to struggle to be able to hide the increasingly harshness of the debt collectors punishments. Sprained ankles could be brushed off as a stair mishap at school, even with the suspicious look from Porsche the lie was still that much believable that it went unquestioned, but the broken fingers and one two many times Porchay broke his arm were getting harder to explain. This desire to get out of debt, to be free from the constant fear and pain of poverty, led to the creation of the drug operation despite the knowledge that if Porsche knew he would greatly disapprove of it.
It felt wrong for Porchay to lie constantly to his hia but he knew Porsche would have put a stop to the operation immediately if he found out. His brother has always been overprotective and felt like he had to support the both of them and refused to let Chay help out in any way. Said he should focus on his schooling so he could have a better chance to succeed in life than he could. But Porchay wanted to help lighten the burden he unintentionally became on his brother. Even if Porsche didn’t understand that.
So after school Porchay and Ohm always headed to their self proclaimed warehouse to commence their little business operation. Some days when business was slower they just hung out like normal teenagers. The rare moments where the only care in the world was the unfinished math questions in the bottom of their backpack provided Porchay the notion that not only his life but Porsche’s was going to get better.
As much as Chay tried to keep this as inconspicuous and secret as possible there were always times where people got a little two close to finding out the truth then Chay may have liked.
