Chapter Text
“What's in your inventory, Avery”,
That phrase always spiralled into Avery's mind.
“D3rlord3, I'm notoriously sorry…”
Avery whispered to themselves behind the virtual screen that was separating them like a barrier. Tears flooded his eyes as he planted his palm onto the glass screen while the ‘You died!’ screen reflected onto his pupils.
Avery had smooth, ethereal nutmeg skin that reflected a stunning glow, reminiscent of cream poured into coffee. The male wore pyjamas that copied the same pattern as his Minecraft skin's shirt. His eyes were the color of his green slime skin that appeared on Minecraft, the shine on the screen was mirrored onto his emerald-like pupils, Obsidian colored dreadlocks that would fade into a fern dye at the tips of each lock.
Avery then rested their head onto their desk and continuously forced the tears out like it's a waterfall, after all this time of finding him. It felt like he was at fault here, that he's the one responsible for D3rlord3's wellbeing and stability. He promised himself that he'll find him. Avery was delighted and was relieved that he found him but only to lose him. That gutted him.
Besides that, it's been a few days after that very incident, Avery was playing on a different world with some of his friends that he made while playing skywars, his favourite game to play mostly. He still remembers D3rlord3 every moment and would never let his legacy go to waste.
“Yo, Aves!? Are you there?! You've been standing like a statue for a few minutes?!”
One of Avery's friends spoke out within the group chat call,
“Huh? Oh yeah, sorry! I was day dreaming!”
The slime excused himself and let out a reassuring chuckle. Him and his friends played for a while before they all have to get off to do stuff in their personal home lives, Avery logged off soon after and took a big stretched before getting something to eat
‘buzz buzz buzz’
the sound of Avery's phone reverberating around the room, He peered his head around the door frame to their phone shining a light to signal Avery that someone or something was notifying them that they should probably check their phone. Avery wandered to their phone and held it up to one of his palms, eyes scrolled to the notifications until he saw messages from an instagram account who he hadn't seen before.
"Who's this?.."
The male thought to himself, they clicked the notification. Then the messages say…
“Avery, it's me, D3rlord3 well it's actually Derek but besides that I know you're probably wondering how I am alive right now.”
Avery couldn't believe this. D3rlord3?! THE D3rlord3?! The male's mouth went agaped at the vision he's witnessing right now, he shakes their head in disbelief and glances at the screen. His fingers frantically dashed to the keyboard and typed like his life depended on it,
“How?! You pushed me and I thought you'd be dead when the king would enter your mind?!”
Avery exclaimed to Derek,
“I know it's a lot for you right now, but just know that it isn't your fault, Avery.”
D3rlord3 reassured Avery that it wasn't his fault for what had happened.
“I presumed you saw the letter that was linked to the google drive, thinking that I was a goner for sure. I thought the same but I'm glad it turned out positively.”
Derek kept explaining the situation that happened behind the screen,
“It's just that I have a massive migraine, I'm thinking cuz of the king entering my mind. And I'm just overly ill.”
He described his current state, Avery then thought of an idea and spoke out,
“I can take care of you! I don't mind at all and plus I wanna get to know you a lil longer lol”
Avery typed while smiling joyfully by knowing the fact that Derek is alive and well,
“There's no need, Aves. I'll be fine, just worry about yourself but if you want. You may. I'll send you the location”
Derek agreed to Ave's volunteering to help and sended them the address, Avery blissfully jumped up and down in excitement to being accepted to help out. They're also content that D3rlord3 is alive and stable.
“I'm gonna arrive tomorrow pretty sure!”
Avery responded to Derek's statement, while trying to find something to pack his stuff in.
“I'll see you soon, Aves.”
“Yeah! Cya!!”
Soon they both logged off, Avery was scrambling around the house, trying to find stuff to pack. He packed a few pieces of clothing, toothbrushes, sanitary stuff, wallet, shampoo, conditioner, hair mask and of course his gaming pc,
“It is necessary to bring my gaming PC…..meh! Of course it's important!”
Avery questioned themselves and gave themselves an answer. After packing, Avery collapsed on the couch and felt like he was going to pass out after all the packing he had to do for tomorrow.
“That was exhausting-”
Aves complained before getting up and grabbed a smoothie from his fridge,
“ugh, I needed this- Also I should head to bed so I can wake up early in the morning.”
he spoke out and rose up from the couch and stumbled towards the bedroom and collapsed into the bed, leading into a deep sleep.
