Detention was worse than expected. Faye sat alone on the cold white tiles of the room, staring blankly at a depressing plain, white wall.
The girl was starting to go crazy in there with only the sink and toilet to keep her company. She didn't know how many days it had been nor how long she would be kept in there, but it was a nightmare.
She swore she heard voices calling out to her from people who definitely shouldn't be in the punishment room and saw what looked like a blob of darkness running from one corner to the next.
Faye had been using the sink for entertainment, but a person she's not sure was even real barged into the room and screamed in her face until she cried.
No.
It couldn't have been fake; she still has the bruise on her arm from when they grabbed her…
So Faye found a different way to free herself from the numbness consuming her. She started pinching her own skin, which soon turned into punching that left bruises and a pleasant dull throb in her legs.

It wasn't until what she thinks is day seven that she was released. But by then the damage had already been done.
Blood was running from her lip that had clearly been bitten on to hell and the liquid very faintly dripped from her hands from when she dug her nails into them.
Faye was dragged through the compound, covered in the damage of her own doing, and taken to the in-house doctor. All the doctor’s questions were met with bleary blinks and unfocused stares.
The poor girl was so out of it that she didn't even register the fact that she'd surely be in trouble for staining her clothing!
Faye ended up falling asleep in the doctor's office as soon as her body hit the bed—after her hands were wrapped, she was given painkillers, and cleaned up, of course.
