April Fools' Day 2026

Summary:

April Fool's Day has arrived, and the unborn babies decided to give their parents a scare.

Notes:

I have dyslexia and currently don't have a beta, so please keep that in mind and read at your own risk!

Though I am using a free AI spell check now, so there should be fewer mistakes! Though I know the AI does not catch everything!

I also write on AO3, Wattpad, and Fanfiction.net. Fanfiction.net is where I mainly write, and I only publish finished and edited works on Wattpad and AO3. So if you like to see what I'm working on, please check out Fanfiction.net, and if you do, please read my profile on there first before reading any stories on it. With that, I hope you enjoy!

Cross-posted on Fanfiction.net, AO3, and Wattpad—I can’t figure out how to get into my account, so I might make a new Wattpad, not sure yet, under Ravenbald BloodMoon or Ravenblad_BloodMoon depending on the app/website.

You can also find me on YouTube as Royal Kreature Monarch, where I make videos and playlists for the longer fanfics I write. And you can find me on Instagram as Ravenblad BloodMoon, where I post art that is the best of my fanfics and some art that is not.

You can also find me on TikTok as Royal Kreature Monarch, with my @ being ravenblad_bloodmoon.

I also have a Discord for my fics! So if you want, you can come and hang out and chat and stuff, I guess! You can find it in any of my YouTube videos' descriptions. I'm not sure if linking it here will work or not. Also, I do have a YouTube Discord, so make sure to read which Discord is which!

Lucy giggled softly between Jellal and Macbeth as they watched Natsu fail at doing a prank on Erik for the 10th time that day. Lucy was 21 weeks and a few days pregnant now, and her belly was rather big. Bigger than every other pregnant lady Lucy has ever met, and she's met some who were pregnant with triplets! Which made sense since she was pregnant with septuplets.

Lucy hummed and looked down to see that both Macbeth and Jellal each had a hand on her belly. Both became even more proactive with her the farther she got along. Macbeth was using reflective magic to make sure no one's pranks made it over to where they were so that Lucy wouldn't be affected by them.

Lucy smiled softly as she leaned into her men. Jellal looked down at her, his eyes soft and warm. He was still a bit flustered at times with her and Macbeth, but they've been dating for about a month now, and it's been going pretty good. Jellal pressed a soft kiss to Lucy's forehead with a soft, pleased sigh of contentment. Lucy's cheeks turned a light pink, and she leaned up to kiss his cheek before turning and kissing Macbeth's cheek, who opened one eye from where his head rested on his other arm on the table and smirked sleepily at her and Jellal. His other arm tightened a bit around her waist, and his fingers that rested on her very pregnant belly slid over to intertwine with Jellal's.

Lucy relaxed more against them before she felt a weird tightening feeling in her abdomen. Her hand shoots to the spot, and both males sit up and face her at once.

“What's wrong?” Jellal asked worriedly as he carefully touched the spot she was touching on her abdomen.

“Is it the babies?” Macbeth asked, just as worried as he leaned over to her, his hands carefully moving to touch her waist.

Before Lucy could say anything, she doubled over with a pained gasp. She felt herself shake a bit and start to sweat. Lucy vaguely heard both Jellal and Macbeth call her names, but the pain was white-hot before it slowly faded away.

“I… I think they're coming…” Lucy gears up a bit shakily; her mind is racing. It was too soon.

"Breathe with me, kitten,” Jellal said softly into Lucy's ear, having picked up Macbeth's habit of calling her that.

Lucy focuses on Jellal as he picks her up; she faintly sees Macbeth using illusion and reflector magic to make sure no one knows what is going on yet. When Lucy gave birth, she wanted just Macbeth and Jellal there and not the guild impatiently waiting outside. She knew Natsu and a few others would try and force their way in with the best intentions, but she didn't want that when she gave birth.

Erik looked over where they were before turning to Natsu and keeping him distracted. Lucy sighed relievedly at that; she needed to do something to thank him later.

Jellal passed back and forth nervously and kept running his hand through his hair. Macbeth watched him for a moment before standing up from where he sat in a waiting room chair and pulling Jellal into his chest. Jellal jumped at the sudden contact he hadn't been expecting and looked at Macbeth.

"Breathe, our kitten is strong; she will be okay, as well as our young.” Macbeth soothed softly, keeping gentleness in a voice only Lucy and Jellal ever heard.

Jellal leaned into Macbeth, worry written all over his face. “They took her back without us! What if she needs us? What if something goes wrong—” Before Jellal could even finish, Macbeth pulled him into a kiss.

Jellal's eyes widen before he melts into the kiss, holding onto Macbeth like a lifeline. Macbeth kept the kiss light yet long, making sure he stayed in control. After a few long moments that felt like hours to Jellal, Macbeth pulled back.

“Lucy will be fine, as will the babies. They took her back on her own because of how many babies she's having, and the only room they had open isn't big enough for us and all the staff they need to make sure she's okay.” Macbeth explained and reinsured softly; if it were anyone other than Jellal (and Lucy, of course), he wouldn't have bothered, but he hated seeing one of his loves be so worried and worked up.

Jellal swallowed and nodded his head; he leaned heavily onto Macbeth. He just needs to trust his beloved, and everything with their girl and their babies will be just fine. Jellal closed his eyes as he felt Macbeth's arms tighten on him.

Once they were allowed, Macbeth and Jellal wasted no time and went to Lucy's side. Macbeth took her right hand, looking her over, and Jellal did the same in the left. The doctor comes in a few moments later with a soft, calming smile.

“Everything is just fine. It seems the little ones wanted to join in on today's pranking fun, that's all.” The doctor said, gently looking at the chart and then back at the parents. “All Miss Heartfilia experienced today was Braxton Hicks contractions. It's normal for 22 weeks with someone expecting as many as she is.” The doctor explained what happened and took a seat on a nearby empty chair. “Going forward, I recommend Miss Heartfilia go on bed rest just to make sure nothing wrong does happen or lessen the chance of something wrong happening. She's expecting septuplets, and that's not easy on the body, even more so since they all seem to be quite magically strong.” The doctor finished as they looked down and wrote some stuff down before handing it to Jellal, who was the closest to them. “Here are some vitamins and tips to help with the pregnancy.” The doctor finished looking at them with a kind smile.

“Thank you,” Lucy responded to the doctor with a nod, knowing her men were too relieved and focused on the paper the doctor gave to Jellal to do so themselves.

The doctor just smiled, not at all offended by Jellal and Macbeth's behavior. If anything, it relieved them to see how worried both were for her and how they seemed to genuinely care for Lucy.

"We'd like you to stay for a few more hours for just a few more tests, and then you'll be free to go home and be on bed rest for the rest of your pregnancy.” The doctor spoke before standing before the doctor left, they added. “Also no strange activities until after the babies are born.” With that, the doctor left a bright red Lucy, a swaying and flushed Jellal, and a smirking Macbeth.

Notes:

So first off, sorry this is late! I had forgotten about April Fool's Day till it passed on the 3rd of April, which is when I started this fic! On top of that, I didn't realize Easter was that weekend! So the Easter Special will be late as well but will be posted this month of April! I got caught up doing other things and editing fics! I am working on editing The Forgotten Card's main fic and the other stories I've finished editing, but I'll post the edited versions slowly. To give me more time to work on The Forgotten Cards because that fic will take me a long time to edit.

Anyway, I hope you all liked this addition to the Holidays Midnight/Macbeth x Lucy x Jellal fics. When Halloween comes around again, we'll be in a different fandom, and this series should be finished! Also, what should I call this series? Once it's Halloween again, I'll be putting this in a 2nd series of just this UA and the new UA, and whatever fandom I'll be doing will be in my holidays but also have its own different series as well. So right now I'm just calling this my Holidays Midnight/Macbeth x Lucy x Jellal series, but that's not… not what I want the series to be called, so I love ideas! Of course before Halloween I just figured out something, I guess, but like, I would like your help with it if you have ideas.

Also, as always, I'll love tag ideas!
