Easter 2026

Summary:

Easter Day is here! Lucy is on bed rest but isn't as bored as she thought she would be.

Notes:

I have dyslexia and currently don't have a beta, so please keep that in mind and read at your own risk!

Though I am using a free AI spell check now, so there should be fewer mistakes! Though I know the AI does not catch everything!

I also write on AO3, Wattpad, and Fanfiction.net. Fanfiction.net is where I mainly write, and I only publish finished and edited works on Wattpad and AO3. So if you like to see what I'm working on, please check out Fanfiction.net, and if you do, please read my profile on there first before reading any stories on it. With that, I hope you enjoy!

Cross-posted on Fanfiction.net, AO3, and Wattpad—I can’t figure out how to get into my account, so I might make a new Wattpad, not sure yet, under Ravenbald BloodMoon or Ravenblad_BloodMoon depending on the app/website.

You can also find me on YouTube as Royal Kreature Monarch, where I make videos and playlists for the longer fanfics I write. And you can find me on Instagram as Ravenblad BloodMoon, where I post art that is the best of my fanfics and some art that is not.

You can also find me on TikTok as Royal Kreature Monarch, with my @ being ravenblad_bloodmoon.

I also have a Discord for my fics! So if you want, you can come and hang out and chat and stuff, I guess! You can find it in any of my YouTube videos' descriptions. I'm not sure if linking it here will work or not. Also, I do have a YouTube Discord, so make sure to read which Discord is which!

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Lucy sighed as she looked out the window. She could feel boredom start to creep in. How was she supposed to be on bed rest for the remainder of her pregnancy if she already couldn't stand it? Before she could put much more thought into her boredom, she heard a crash sound from downstairs. She looked at the bedroom door, her eyes slightly wide.

“Is everything alright?” She called out worry clearly in her voice.

"Yes, kitten, everything's fine!” Jellal called back from downstairs.

“Are you sure?” She asked just to make sure everything was truly alright.

“Yes, kitten, nothing you need to worry about.” Macbeth, this time, responded in a confident tone, and Lucy relaxed.

“All right,” Lucy says and leans back, relaxing once more into the pillows at her back.

The day after being put on bed rest, they had luckily just finished getting the new house. It was big enough to hold 12 people comfortably for a long time. With 12 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms, a backyard, a pool, a big kitchen, and more. Honestly, it kind of reminded Lucy of her old manor but, like, less stuffy and more of a homey feel. They hoped the place was big enough for 7 children and 3 adults living in it with random guests like Natsu and Happy or Erik and Kinana deciding to randomly crash there or anyone else.

The home was on the outside of Magnolia and was nestled a bit into the woods. Honestly, it had everything all 3 were looking for in a home. Of course there were a few things missing, but they were working on a short schedule. Jellal and Macbeth had set up the bedroom within just a few hours after getting the house and had Lucy in bed in no time for her bed rest.

Lucy looked around the room with a soft smile. The bed was more than big enough for 3 people with blood-red silk sheets. Macbeth had picked out black curtains on the big windows and balcony doors that Jellal had chosen and a nice, fluffy, dark gray rug under the bed that Lucy picked out. It was a bit tricky to match their styles together, but they were finding it fun to do so. The bed had black pull-back curtains that were tied back on the posts of the poster bed. At the end of the bed was a blood-red crushed velvet bench. A dresser against the far wall with bookshelves on either side. Next to the bookshelf on the right was the door to the master bathroom, and the door next to the left bookshelf was the walk-in closet. There was also a sitting area in front of the dresser and bookshelves and a place for a mini bar next to the balcony doors.

Lucy reached over and grabbed a cup of water that was on the bedside table and took a sip with a soft, happy sigh. She heard a soft knock on the door before she looked over to see Macbeth coming in carrying a tray of her favorite pregnancy snacks that she's been craving and Jellal carrying a small box full of things behind him. Lucy placed the water down and sat back.

"Ooo, what did you bring me?” She asked her head to be tiled. Both men chuckled softly at her barely hidden excitement.

“We brought you some snacks; figured you might want something to hold you over till dinner.” Macbeth said softly as he placed the tray over her lap before sitting on the bed next to her.

“And I figured it was time we worked on the nurseries.” Jellal responded as he too joined Macbeth on the bed, but on Lucy's other side.

Jellal opened the box to show catalogs, magazines, pant swatches, fabric swatches, and more. “I gathered all I could, so do you have a theme in mind? Or do you want to flip through until something catches your eye?” Jellal asked as he started to pull things out of the box and hand them to either Lucy or Macbeth.

“I'm not too sure.” Lucy admits softly as she takes a catalog and starts flipping through it. “I kind of want to do a star theme, like a night sky with constellations, but I think it might be too cliché…” she adds softly, biting her lip.

“I don't think it's too cliché; it makes sense given our magic. Even then, if it's something you like, who cares if it's overdone? I don't think it's a bad idea. We could do a knight on the walls.” Macbeth responds without hesitation, causing Lucy to blink and blush softly with a smile at him.

“I also agree; we could do a dark green carpet. Like grass and have the ceiling enchanted by magic to show the night sky.” Jellal finished flipping through the carpet colors till he landed on one that was a nice dark green.

Lucy gives Jellal a soft smile, liking the idea more and more. “With a reading nook that looks like a little cabin." She adds, looking softly through the catalog for something matching her idea.

“Oh! I just remembered we got you something!” Jellal said, jumping up from the bed and coming back a few seconds later with an Easter basket.

“Ah, yes, you got yourself a few things for Easter.” Macbeth nodded his head from where he was next to Lucy.

Lucy's eyes widened. "Oh, you didn't have to!” she exclaimed but couldn't stop the smile.

“We wanted to,” both males said at the same time.

Jellal handed the basket over to Macbeth. Macbeth held the basket for Lucy as she went through it. Lucy found some of her favorite chocolates and other candies. There was a big pink bunny she already loved; it was so soft, and she loved lying against it. There was also a tiny box; opening it revealed the connected silver keys of Lepus the Rabbit and Lynx the Hare. Lucy gasped, her eyes widening.

“We know you can't do magic until the septuplets are born, but we got there from our mission yesterday and thought it'd make the perfect gift for today.” Macbeth explained as Jellal retook his spot on the other side of Lucy.

“Thank you! Oh, this makes me even more excited to use magic again!” Lucy squealed before kissing both of them on the cheeks.

“We're glad you like it.” Jellal said softly, placing his head gently on her shoulder, Macbeth copying him on the other side.

They spend the rest of the day figuring out how they want the nursery to look. All of them always found ways to make sure they were always touching unconsciously as they did so. Lucy smiled softly, her earlier almost boredom completely forgotten.

Notes:

Sorry this was late! Easter snuck up on me like April Fools' Day did! I started to work on this on Easter! Hopefully none of the other holidays will sneak up on me like that again, and my holiday fics won't be late again. But I make no promises on that because life is chaotic.

Like with April Fool's Day notes, I hope you all liked this addition to the Holidays Midnight/Macbeth x Lucy x Jellal fics. When Halloween comes around again, we'll be in a different fandom, and this series should be finished! Also, what should I call this series? Once it's Halloween again, I'll be putting this in a 2nd series of just this UA and the new UA, and whatever fandom I'll be doing will be in my holidays but also have its own different series as well. So right now I'm just calling this my Holidays Midnight/Macbeth x Lucy x Jellal series, but that's not… not what I want the series to be called, so I love ideas! Of course before Halloween I just figured out something, I guess, but like, I would like your help with it if you have ideas.
