Lucy was relaxing in bed, having taken up sewing to pass the time. Macbeth was next to her, napping, with one of his arms wrapped snugly around her and his face pressed into her side. Jellal was downstairs making something to eat for them.
Lucy was known to be 27 and a few days pregnant. Her belly was even bigger than she could have imagined. She hummed softly as she sawed; she shifted slightly uncomfortably as she felt a slight cramping pain in her abdomen. She ignored it, thinking it was nothing. She kept ignoring it a few more times before she realized that it most likely was Brasten Hicks again; the babies won't be born for at least 12 to 13 more weeks.
She sighed softly and shook her head. She lifted her head as Jellal came in with a tray of food and a soft smile on his face that made her heart flutter.

Macbeth helped her stand up from using the bathroom when a gush of something wet left her. She looked down blankly because she had just used the bathroom, so why had she just peed on herself?
“Kitten…” Macbeth said slowly, also looking down. “Did… your water just break?” He asked just as slowly, and that was when it hit her.
Lucy's eyes widen, and she gasps. “Oh… so it wasn't Brasten Hicks…” She breathed. out, and Macbeth's head shot up to look at her wide-eyed before picking her up.
"Stray! The kitten's water broke!” Macbeth called, and Lucy didn't know when, but Macbeth's pet name for Jellal has been strange recently, and it seems he is keeping it.
"Coming, Mutt!” came Jellal's reply, which is what he started to call Macbeth when he started calling him Stray. Lucy was pretty sure it was to get Macbeth to stop calling him "Stray,” but surprisingly, or maybe not, Macbeth seemed to like it.
Lucy could hear Jellal run into something and curse as Macbeth started to take her downstairs.
“Be careful!" Lucy calls to him and gasps, doubling over in Macbeth's hold as she holds onto her abdomen. Oh, that felt worse than Braxton Hicks.
“I’m fine!” Jellal calls back as he goes to get the go bag.

“It's too early!” Lucy gasped, holding onto both. Jellal's and Macbeth's hands, one in each of theirs.
“It is completely normal for septuplets to be born this early. If anything, you're lucky they weren't born sooner. The doctor soothed as they took in how close she was. “Good, we can get you back for a C-section without the risk of them coming normally."
The doctor then has her, with Macbeth and Jellal, lead back to the area where C-sections happen.

“All 7 were born healthy; since they are about 12 to 13 weeks early, I want to keep them in the ICU for a bit.” The doctor said with a soft smile as they watched the parents look at their children with wide, awed, and shocked eyes.
“H-How?” Jellal managed to get out, and the doctor seemed to understand the question he wanted to ask even if all he could get out was one word.
“Ah, it is extremely rare. This doesn't happen to civilians and is normally extremely rare for mages. It is slightly more common for celestial mages.” The doctor starts looking down at the 7 babies who are a mix of all 3 people in front of them. “As you know, it's possible for 2 males to sire kids in a female if closely intimate around the same time. Those are called heteropaternal superfecundation, but in this case, both males are biologically both males. Normally it means they were there with the female at the same time. The reason it is slightly more common for celestial mages is due to their magic, though I do not know the specifics as to why that is; I just know it is due to their magic.”
Macbeth slowly nodded, taking in this information as he stared down at their children.
“I'll leave you to take in this information and have a nurse come in to help with the birth certificates. Also, please rest, Miss Heartfilia; your body has been through a lot, and you must rest.” The doctor said politely with a bow before leaving the room.
Lucy yawns softly, "Why don't you get some sleep, kitten?” Jellal tells her softly, running a hand through her sweetie's hair.
“Mmm, not till we name them.” Lucy mumbled sleepily as she leaned into the touch, her eyes on their babies.
“Well, let's start in birth order, I suppose.” Macbeth sat gently next to Lucy, with a baby in his arms.
“A girl,” Jellal said softly as they took in the firstborn.
She had 4 different hair colors; on her right side, it was black on top and white on the bottom, and on her left side, it was blue on top and blond on the bottom. She had Jellal's birthmark on the right side of her face. Born with baby blue eyes that would change to her true eye color of heterochromia, her right eye is green, and her left eye is black with swirls of brown in each. She was in an aurora borealis-themed baby onesie.
“Mmm, a mix of all 3 of us,” Lucy said softly, head resting on Macbeth. “What about Aurora for her?” She said softly, remembering it was one of Macbeth's names, and Lucy believed it fit this one of their babies the best.
“Aurora Heartfilia,” Jellal nodded with a soft smile, gently touching the firstborn's name, Aurora.
“Aurora Hearrfilia-Fernandes,” Lucy corrected softly. Jellal blinked up at her in shock, and she just smiled tiredly at him.
“If we knew what Mutt's last name was, I would have added it too.” Lucy added truthfully, and Macbeth kissed her forehead gently.
"It's perfect, Aurora Heartfila-Fernandes.” Macbeth said softly against Lucy's forehead, where he had kissed it.
Jellal just nodded closely, not sure what to say. He makes his way over and carefully picks up Aurora from Macbeth before putting her back in the incubator and carefully grabbing the next baby.
“Also a female,” Jellal says before carefully handing her to Macbeth.
Lucy takes her in with tired eyes and a soft, loving smile. The baby girl had 2 different hair colors; on top of her head her hair was black, and blue was on the bottom. She had Jellal's birthmark on the right side of her face. Born with baby blue eyes that would change to her true eye color of black. She was in a moon-themed baby onesie.
“Why not Luna? I know Jellal chose that one. I think it fits this little one.” Macbeth said softly as he gently rested his head on the tip of Lucy's.
“It's perfect,” Lucy and Jellal agreed, both just as soft as Macbeth.
Jellal gently takes Luna and puts her back and gently grabs the next baby. This one was also a girl, but none of the names they chose seem to fit her. She had 2 different hair colors; on top of her head her hair was blonde, and white was on the bottom. She had Jellal's birthmark on the right side of her face. She was born with baby blue eyes that would change to her true eye color of green. She was in a sun-themed baby onesie.
“Why not Sol?” Lucy suggested softly with a thoughtful hum.
“Sol Heartfila-Fernandes,” Jellal said softly and nodded slowly; “it's beautiful and suits her well.”
“It’s lovely,” Macbeth agreed with a soft smile.
Next was a girl they named Nyx. She had 2 different hair colors; on top of her head, her hair was black, and blonde was on the bottom. She had Jellal's birthmark on the right side of her face. Born with baby blue eyes that would change to her true eye color of heterochromia, her right eye is brown and her left eye is green. She was in a galaxy-themed baby onesie.
Then there was Estal. She had 2 different hair colors on top of her head. Her hair was blue and blonde on the bottom. She had Jellal's birthmark on the right side of her face. Born with baby blue eyes that would change to her true eye color of heterochromia, her right eye is black and her left eye is brown. She was in a cloud-themed baby onesie.
Then the 6th baby, a girl named Nova. She had 2 different hair colors; on top of her head, her hair was blue, and white was on the bottom. She had Jellal's birthmark on the right side of her face. She was born with baby blue eyes that would change to her true eye color of brown. She was in a floating, carpet-themed baby onesie.
“Know this one is a shock,” Jellal croons softly before carefully handing the least young baby to Macbeth.
“Oh?” Lucy asked sleepily, looking at the baby.
“It's a name,” Macbeth says softly, and Lucy sucks in a breath.
“Oh,” she breathes out and looks at the first male born into her family in centuries.
The baby boy has 3 different hair colors: black on top of his head and white on the bottom, being split into white on the left and blue on the right. He has Jellal's birthmark on the right side of his face. Born with baby blue eyes that would change to the true eye color of heterochromia, that is, the right eye is black and the left eye is green. He was in a star-themed baby onesie.
“So… the name?” Jellal asked, not sure what to name the baby; they had said a few male names, but they had never actually put much thought into it because of how rare it is for a male to be born into the Heartfilia family.
“Cosmo-Jupiter,” Lucy responds and adds, “He can choose which to drop if he wishes when he's older.” I just can't choose between the 2 names.”
