Angel’s Share Diluc just silently pushed over a drink without looking up and as Kaeya tried to talk to his former brother, he got ignored. It hurt more than he wanted to admit. Sure, Diluc already mostly ignored him before but he at least got acknowledged in one form or another. So being outright treated like he didn’t exist felt worse than the burn scars all across his body.
Whenever he approached a drinking group of knights they made sure that any available space was suddenly not available anymore. Even his informants gave him looks of distrust. Upstairs he found an empty table to sit at. After a while of sitting in lone silence he sensed a new presence opposite of him. He didn’t need to look up to know it’s Rosaria. “I know you wouldn’t betray Mondstadt. I trust you.” This one sentence was enough to bring Kaeya close to tears. Still looking down he let a single tear slip: “Thanks, I really needed to hear it.” With a small smile he looked up to her. Later that night Eula also joined them. Three lone cryo-allogenes drinking together, what a sight.
