“… what am I doing here?” I said in a spooked manner.
I looked down taking a look at the pure and pearly white floor with a bright purple sticky note on there.
My hands trembling then picked the tacky sticky note up and unfolded it just to see a message in bold letters…
”You have been sent here, a place to redeem the bad deeds you have made. You are not in heaven or hell, not yet. Your job is to help a person you respect to make good deeds every time they are at their worst. Tell this special person whatever you think will help. Once done we will decide if you can reach eternal peace or stay in agony forever.
Who will you pick to save..?
A pen then randomly spawned out of nowhere I picked it up with my hands now sweaty.
With some careful thinking I picked Two, after all they had helped me with sorting my problems out how could I not repay them.
On the blank spot I wrote:
Two
The pen and sticky note then had somehow vanished and after a few seconds a portal spawned and a figure came through it.
”HELLO? what’s going on?… anybody?”
I stood there staring at the green figure.
Two, they looked slightly younger, and had wore just a t-shirt and pants. Which is odd because from what I know they have an amazing taste of style and would genuinely refuse to wear such casual clothing.
They didn’t notice me but I noticed them.
Two seems like they’re about to lose it, and I was right.
”No… NO! I can’t do this anymore… Why. Why does everyone Hate me.”
”I try so hard yet… everyone hates me, Four, X, oh who knows.”
“It’s all my fault.”
Two had started crying hugging their knees and having their head down, I went to them sitting next to them touching their back.
”Hey, it’s okay it’s not your fault it never was.”
“What do you know…?”
”I don’t know about what has happened but I still care for you even if nobody else does.”
”I wish I can talk to someone like you, nobody likes me…”
”You will someday, I promise”
Two turned to look at me with these sincere eyes, I have never seen them like this.
“Can I… hug you?”
“Bring it in”
The alien then hugged me laying their head on my shoulder I patted their back as they started crying.
I saw a different side of Two, when they hugged me that confident bold personality cracked and turned into what was once a confused and frazzled person, and I saw it all.
Once the hug broke I held their face and wiped their tears as they looked at me with a tiny smile.
”thank you… for everything.”
“You’re welcome, and remember Two a lot of people out there care about you even if it doesn’t seem like it. One day you will meet that person and you will understand what I’m talking about.”
“Promise?”
”Promise.”
Two then hugged me once again this time smiling
But then they faded, turns out they woke up.
After a quick minute I heard a loud booming noise echoing in all directions
Good job on your first try, now you will get to see the same person after you had died. Try to convince them they can move on, this time they can become a totally different person because we are now in the present!
another portal appeared and a more taller and mature green figure came out of the portal.
