Work Text:
Phineas usually goes to sleep hugging his pillow.
Sometimes when he does it, he dreams about Isabella.
It’s been a long time since he’s hugged her in real life.
Sometimes, with how distant they’ve become, he wonders if he ever will again.
He knows it will never mean as much to her as it does to him.
But in dreams, he can pretend she feels the same way.
Sometimes, the dreams take place entirely in Isabella’s arms.
Those are the best ones, because he doesn’t have to say anything.
He doesn’t know what he would say if he had to.
