Work Text:
"Hm..? need anything?"
Saparata said to Wifies with a hum, though his eyes remained on his clipboard.
Wifies silently stood there observing Saps as if he was some puzzle to solve.
"You know.. staring wastes productivity."
"Shouldn't you be working on your clone factory?"
Saps said with lighthearted laughter. He stared directly into Wifies and his dark eyes.
It was amazing on how his voided eyes immediately pulled his attention and soul.
"It's a factory and its automated."
"I don't need to do much."
Wifies said, finally breaking the silence and the intense eye contact between the two of them.
"Right."
"Well I'm merely just a scientist who does his own work all on his own."
"I only said that because there should be no reason that you have to be here in my department."
Saps sighed with a shrug, overlooking the great amount of concoctions he has made today.
He doesn't really have a goal for these. He's just been going with the flow, waiting for a new discovery.
It's dangerous he knows. Wifies had warned him many times about this habit of his.
Hopefully he doesn't figure out that he's been doing it again behind his back.
"Am I not allowed in here Saparata?"
Wifies asked with a monotonous tone, showing nothing of what he is thinking. Though Saparata has gotten used to it by now.
He even knows that it means Wifies might start getting into a tantrum should he further try to tell Wifies to get out of his lab.
"Well no..?"
"But I'm.. busy."
Saps argued with a huff. Already sensing his dark mood getting darker.
"And I'm not."
Wifies argued back with a scoff. Rolling his eyes in the process.
"I've noticed."
Wifies came in here 41 minutes ago and has been staring at Saparata writing and doing god knows what because the Author isn't really the sharpest tool in the shed.
"..."
"Just what do you need Wifies."
Saparata said approaching Wifies in a close distance.
"..."
"Nothing."
Wifies said after a moment of staring into Saparatas black eyes. Getting lost in them.
Sometimes he wished that he could drown in them.
"That's not a good answer Wifies."
Saps said in a whisper. The way his name was whispered made Wifies shiver.
"You know.. I'm not exactly the best kind of content for you."
"What does staring at me for a full hour benefit you?"
Saps chuckled. Their distance ever going closer.
"Everything."
To know Everything about him. To know each second of when he takes a breath. To know what he likes. To know how he acts. To know the rhythm of his beating heart. To know his every being.
"Everything?"
"When did you get so.. sappy."
Pun intended
Saparata was a bit taken aback with his straightforward answer.
Usually he would avoid saying what he wanted and felt around Saparata and opting to always having him trying to make Saparata obey his demands without saying said demands.
He's a piece of work all that Saps could say.
Saps isn't dense.
He knows what Wifies is being right now.
Being clingy.
It's a very rare occurrence for Wifies to come and personally seek Saparatas presence after brooding on his own little clone factory world for so long.
He doesn't really know why he gets clingy to Saps of all people.
Well maybe he barely interacted with anyone but his clones and Saps.
And despite his clones being just him. Saps seems to have noticed his particular hatred for his own clones.
Could be just him though.
But he does love messing with Wifies by interacting with the more intelligent products.
He always get super angry with that.
Especially with that Director one.
Speaking of which, that clone is probably roaming somewhere around his department too. Sooner or later he'll probably bump into him.
What is it with wifies and his clones needing to be with Saps.
Hopefully the clone he met at Paradise isn't here too.
"Saps."
Wifies said, breaking Saparata out of his thoughts.
"..."
"Fine. Stare at me I guess."
He shrugged, finally backing off of Wifies.
He didn't even answer anything with his stupid answer.
"Just don't disturb me while I..work"
More like shamelessly experiment with potion combinations right infront of his face without telling him.
Now let's see..
What would likely happen if they mix one potion of healing and one potion of poison together?
Oh boy can't wait to find out!
...
"Well it sure looks ominous."
Saparata whispered awkwardly into the air.
Why is it pitch black..
Should he make someone try it? But he would need someone for that.
Wifies.. a clone..
maybe.
"What is that."
Wifies said with all the judgement he could muster in his voice.
Said voice was also oddly close to his left ear.
Saps turned to his left.
Wifies is there behind him, his breath tickling his ear. Upon seeing that Saps noticed the close proximity, he made the initiative to put both of his hands on Saparatas waist.
"Er.."
"Secret..?"
Saps nervously said while unconcerned about the physical contact.
He does that often. Saparata has already long been used to Wifies and his constant need for physical contact.
"..."
"You don't even know do you?" Wifies said dissapointed. This is seriously the guy that invented a cure for a virus that once affected one of his clone?
"..."
"..."
The two went into an awkward silence.
"Didn't I tell you to stop?"
Wifies finally spoke up. Stern and cold. Saparata shivered at his voice.
"Yes."
"But I dont get it. This habit of mine concerns only me."
"My life."
Wifies buried his head deep in Saparatas neck upon hearing those words.
"So?" He said, his breath tickling Saparata.
"You shouldn't be too concerned about my life."
"Just like with your clones. They mean nothing to you."
Thats the thing that Wifies always hated with Saparata. He was always unconcerned about the safety of his own life whenever it came to science.
Back with Paradise, Saparata barely cared about himself nor anyone unimportant to his goal. That was what was flawed about him.
His clones mean nothing to him because they are merely just a product in his eyes. A product made by him. They simply have no other purpose other than making content for him.
For Saparata he is like a gem. A product made by God.
In some way Saparata is able to understand Wifies and his views.
"You don't get it do you?"
Wifies said with a dark tone.
Ah Saparata has done it. Provoke his anger issues again.
Again..
"Get what."
Saparata scoffed in annoyance. What else is there to get? Wifies always made sure to let anybody know that nothing else matters to him but his work. So he naturally does not care for Saps.
Everything else that he has been doing just gives him mixed signals.
When his clone brought Saparata here against his will after he oh so kindly cured him of a virus, Wifies had shown great resentment for his existence.
The only reason that they were able to stay here was because of that clone.
Must be one of his favorites or something.
They both act similar to eachother.
He doesn't really know what that clone said to Wifies to be able convince him to keep Saparata here.
Saparata didn't even want to stay at first.
"..."
"I want you to me look at me when I say this my dear scientist."
Wifies said staring right into Saparata from the corner of his eyes. One of his hands now stayed locked to the back his neck, tilting his head to the left.
"Being apart of my work means you belong to me."
"I value success in my products."
"Which means I make sure my possession does not get destroyed for something as stupid as an accident with experiments."
"The only things that hold no value and meaning to me are flawed and imperfect products. So I rid myself of them and make sure they never exist in my life."
"Get it now?"
"..."
Saparata did an audible gulp that Wifies was able to hear. Upon hearing that, Wifies smiled with satisfaction.
"You are mine. So do what I say okay?"
"Wifies.."
Saparata nervously said, sweat dripping off his face.
"Yes?"
"..."
"I need go and get myself one of your mroe lifeless clones for an experiment thank you and bye."
Saparata frantically said, pushing Wifies and running out his lab.
Wifies stood there silently. He chuckled right after. A smirk evident on his face.
He didn't deny it.
Perfect.
So perfect.
Wifies would always get what has always been his.
One way or another.
