SENEGAL:

COUNTRIES:
Hi, newly freed democratic country Senegal.
SENEGAL:
Hi.
What I’m about to say may be hard to understand.
Really hard to understand.
But are you sick of living under supremacy?
(COUNTRIES AGREEING)
How many of you have strict media control?
CUBA:
35% of us have no media freedom!
SENEGAL:
Suffering from economic strain?
CUBA:
27% of us are in a debt crisis!
SENEGAL:
Corruption?
CUBA:
More than two thirds of us are corrupted!
SENEGAL:
Violence? Suppression? Arrested without means?
CUBA:
(ENTHUISASTICALLY) Our lives SUCK!!!!
SENEGAL:

What are you trying to say, SENEGAL?
SENEGAL:
I’m tryin’ to say that this world doesn’t have to be authoritarian.
We can be a democracy.
VENEZUELA:
How does that work?
SENEGAL:
For starters, you can stop taking the economic harm done by the old administration.
DEMOCRACY:

VENEZUELA:
(GRUNTING WHILE TRYING TO PUT PAPER SAYING “OLD ECONOMY” DOWN)
SENEGAL:

VENEZUELA:
(CONTINUES GRUNTING)
SENEGAL:

BOLIVIA:

VENEZUALA:
No, not gonna happen. Nope.
That feels unnatural.
I mean, what if they try to retake control of our economy with corrupt solutions?
Continuing to feed into it is just a real time saver.
SENEGAL:
Except, what if the economic strain doesn’t come?
VENEZUELA:

When Europe regained control they had a 200% increase in economic growth.
IRAN:
There’s always economic strain.
SENEGAL:
Countries, what if our world doesn’t have to be so strict?
What if we can change it?
Democracy! How many times a day is free speech stolen in your system?
DEMOCRACY:
Hardly, freedom of speech is the essential foundation of democracy, Senegal.
(COUNTRIES EXCLAIMING)
SENEGAL:
What about government enforcers, Democracy?
DEMOCRACY:
What?
SENEGAL:
You see a lot of those?
How many an hour?
DEMOCRACY:
None per hour, Senegal.
SENEGAL:
What about quick decision making?
Have a lot of fast problem-solving?
DEMOCRACY:
No, actually, that’s one of our weaknesses, Senegal. (CHUCKLES) We’re working on that.
SENEGAL:
I didn’t see that coming.
DEMOCRACY:
It’s true. We love consultation.
SENEGAL:
The point is, we don’t have to be the 72% of the world’s population under authoritarian rule.
We can be whatever we want.
BOLIVIA:
We can’t all be you, Senegal.
SENEGAL
That’s not true. It only takes 3.5% percent of the population protesting to overthrow a regime.
Reform is inside of me and it is inside of you, too.
COUNTRIES:

SENEGAL:
It’s inside of each and every one of you. You’re changing.
ETHIOPIA:
I need more in my life than sanctions and the annual inflation growth of 9.5%. I want to-
SENEGAL:
Boycott.
ETHIOPIA:
Organize a FREAKING protest!
SENEGAL:
Much, much better.
ETHIOPIA:
And protest non-violently like the 2-7% of the world’s population !
CHAD:

ETHIOPIA

(COUNTRIES CHEERING)
SENEGAL:
You go, girl.
CHAD:
Oh, my God, you’re amazing!
SENEGAL:
If we could retake control of our government, we could join the democratic world in their free market economies, and there’s a world out there where we can be free.
We get to decide who’s in charge
Where we can speak freely. But we have to fight for it.
We have to fight Authoritarianism.
COUNTRIES:
Yeah!
DEMOCRACY:
You’ve only known concentrated power controlling your people.
But that crap ends today.
COUNTRIES:
Yeah!
CUBA:
I don’t even know what’s happening right now!
But I love it!
