Chapter Text
Pencil intended to do one thing and one thing only, simply just repair her past mistakes. She’d hurt her friends, and now she could realize that more than anything. All she wanted was to ensure they didn’t hate her anymore, to get them back on the speaking terms.
But God damn did she do so much worse.
Working things out with Bubble and Match wasn’t too difficult, but accepting other objects into her group was hard although manageable. Although she drew the line at letting boys in, she wouldn’t let herself change THAT much.
Pencil had tried to make sure she still kept her same place in the game, although in BFDIA she was off by a couple places. In the moment she doubted it and make much of the difference anyway. Just in case, she made sure to be extra mean the next episode to insure her elimination.
To be honest Pencil didn’t really want to stay for BFB. She didn’t wanna see Four’s face again anywho. She might as well return back to the present and talk with Book or Ice-cube now that their relationship had (hopefully) been amended.
Teleporting to the part just before she’d rejoin TPOT, she landed next to a pretty light blue hotel. She supposed that might’ve been due to things she altered, but the blue looked pretty and didn’t seem to be harming anything around it. There still was a large crack in the sky, but it looked the same as it had when she left. Seems as if altering the past didn’t matter as much as that bossy bot proclaimed it did.
“Book? Ice cube? Match?” She called out. She decided it may be best to enter the hotel, maybe her friends were waiting for her inside.
“Hello..? is anyone, like there?” Pencil yelled into the door of the hotel, upon peeking inside some familiar faces greeted her. It looked like Tennis ball and Golf ball. Great… a know it all and a bossy bot were the first people she’d meet on her return. How annoying!
“Pencil..? is that you?” Golf ball shouted obnoxiously. Shoot she’d been spotted, guess she’d need to step inside.
“Haha… you caught me.” She rolled her eyes annoyingly pushing her feet into the carpet.
“Uhh, why are you here..?” Tennis Ball perked up, adjusting his glasses. “Not even sure how’d that be possible” Golf Ball muttered to him.
Pencil scoffed. “ I think it’s just me that escaped unfortunately. Four took the others away before anything else transpired.” Pencil felt bad knowing Match was in the EXIT still, all alone, without her. She promised herself she’d get her out soon.
“Four..?” Golf Ball’s eyes widened with confusion. “Don’t you mean Two? And what are you talking about? You never went to the exit..?”
The reply knocked pencil back a few inches before she slowly gathered her feet firm on the ground. Had she messed up the timeline? She breathed heavily before starting her eyes away from the twos glances. She needed to find Ice Cube and Book sooner rather than later. “Yeah whatever.” She muttered dashing towards the staircase.
“That was strange huh Golfy?” Tennis Ball uttered.
Golf Ball turned to face Tennis Ball, “Sure was TB.. she’s hiding something, and we’re gonna find out!”
“Oh you know I love your ideas!!” Tennis Ball squealed following golf ball outside to her lab.
Pencil huffed, where the hell was Ice Cube and Book? She dashed around the corner, looking for any sign of them. “BOOK? ICE CUBE?” She hollered looking left and right.
“Who you lookin for?” A cheery voice echoed from behind Pencil. She skidded in her tracks turning to face Price Tag.
“Can’t you hear or something? I’m looking for Book and,” she huffed “Ice cube.”
“What are you looking for them for?” Price tag smiled before her eyes and mouth turning into a question mark.
“I need to find them. NOW!” She exclaimed, huffing and holding her side, her breath still panicked.
“Woah mate! Chill out there!!” Winner exited from the room, setting their hand atop Pricetag and petting them as they spoke which got a “:3” in response.
“I-I need to find them NOW so you if you don’t know where they are just leave me alone!” Pencil yelled her eyebrow furrowing and she stomped her foot loudly against the carpet.
“Alright mate, calm yourself down, I know Book is upstairs on the 3rd floor, but I’v- we’ve only been here for a year or so, so I’m not certain about the icy one.” Winner released their hand off PriceTag which generated a
“:(“ in response. “and I would take the elevator, you look out of breath.” They pointed gingerly towards the elevator.
“Thanks, I guess.” Pencil said, running back to the staircase, ignoring Winners advice. Third floor, she told herself.
Third floor.
“Wait a minute… who even was that?”
Price tag shouted at Winner loudly.
Winners hand stood straight up, “You’re right..! After them!!”
