Petah... My Horsewife is here...

Summary:

Divorce is a difficult thing for anyone. Lois is glad she has someone to help her through it.

Notes:

I will be known as the one who invented Lois Griffin x Celeste

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

Divorce was something that nobody had expected to hit the Family Guy Family Household. But it was here. Things hadn’t been the same since the Maelstrom hit, causing the supernatural to roam the streets, and Peter hadn’t come out of the ritual the same. And after weeks of dealing with it, Lois couldn’t handle it anymore, and filed for divorce.

She’d be moving out any day now, and the Family Guy Family Household was in disarray just from the thought of it. Chris had thrown up all over the floor, making it look like a veritable swamp, and Brian had devolved into being a normal dog so he was just licking it up off the floor. Nobody had seen Meg except for on full moons. Stewie decided to go with Lois after the divorce.

They were all sitting at the dinner table, something Lois had begrudgingly cobbled together just so everyone would be fed before she moved out.

Everyone ate in silence. Tensions were high, and nobody wanted to break the silence knowing that this could very well be their last meal together as a Family Guy Family Household. That is, until the sounds of hoofs echoed from the doorway.

“Petah,” Lois said, looking to the doorway, her expression still one of stone even though the person at the door was someone she was excited to see. “My Horsewife is here…”

Everyone at the table looked to the doorway. There she was, Celeste, from the Circus.

“Lois, you ready to get goin’?”

“Yeah. Seeya guys.”

Lois sets down her knife and fork, standing from the table and taking one last look at her Family Guy, Peter Griffin. Why on earth he turned himself into an actual griffin, nobody would know, but it was what had driven her to this point. And now she was here, divorced and already with someone else. Someone better. Someone with a horn and fabulous hair.

Celeste knew that Lois’s downtrodden expression wasn’t due to her own appearance, but rather from the setting that her beloved was leaving. But the unicorn knew that after a good night’s rest and a fun show using her powers that Lois would get in higher spirit powers.

Lois walks out of the room, unconsciously reaching out to grab Celeste’s hand with her own as they both left the house. But before she left the room, Celeste turned back, raising her baton to her horn as a glow overtook it. Light shimmered at the tip, coalescing into one point that expanded in a beautiful way.

The first trick that Celeste would do to cheer up her dear Lois Griffin. No, just Lois.

“Eyes on the ball, boys an’ girls!”

Screams from the Family Guy Family Household quieted down as lightning struck that house several times in a row that night, with Celeste and Lois watching from a nearby clifftop while munching on circus popcorn. Here, Lois’s new life would start, and all would be uphill from here.
