Makoto was a simple person, average if you want, i mean he has a sibling and two loving parents, average grades, average looks and a simple personality. But sometimes his life was anything but average.
some of his first years he lived on an island with a bunch of other people who his dad said was basically family, those people taught him a lot of things, music, cooking, dancing, animal caretaking, photography and a bunch of other stuff, another thing that was a bit strange was that of his parents appearances, his pops had white hair greenish grayish eyes?? He wasn’t sure and had a prosthetic arm, which made some parent teacher conferences awkward and also his dad had short brown hair and mitch matched eyes that were green and red. He got mocked for having two dads but he didn’t mind, they stopped caring after a week.
After a while they had to move off the island, since him and komaru, were starting elementary at a different place since the other one had to close down, and that was the only school close to the island, so they had to move for easy travel, it was okay because he still got to visit them during breaks, so that was nice.
He remembers a time when his pops was super sick and he was like this for a while, his pops is better now since aunt mikan and his dad made a medicine that made him better. That was the weird things about his life really. It was a bit strange but other than that it was a simple life.
“Naegi? There’s people at the office asking for you and your sibling?" asked his teacher. A chorus of “oooos” came out from his class, they thought they were in trouble which wasn’t true because they haven’t done anything wrong recently and it wasn’t his parents since they didn’t know the people so what is going on??
His eyes and his sister lit up when they saw them.
“Uncle fuyufiko and aunt Pecko!!”
“Hey kiddos, we came as a surprise, the rest of us are outside, we are gonna have a vacation!”
“YAYYY” they never have been so glad to skip school, they saw the rest of their family, apparently they planned a surprise visit and go somewhere in the world, that they got to chose
And he and komaru knew where they wanted to go, it might not seem like it but him and his little sister were basically twins and they also never ever argued on anything.

“Wasn’t that a yacuza boss?” asked a teacher
“Why do you think that?” asked the Front office lady
“He was covered in tattoos and had the boss look yk?”
“So does that mean-”
"Their family is weird let’s not question it too much”

‘Okay parent teacher conferences you got this!’ thought the elementary teacher so much pep in her step, it was a break so it was around time to do them so the district said they should do them!
It was pretty normal so far average homes with nice parents sure they encountered some well… not so nice of parents, and next was Makoto and komaru neagi, now they were infamous for being strange kids… But they got this!
So they knocked on the door and a man with white hair opened it “oh hey you must be the kids teacher! You must be here for parent-conferences?”
“Yes that's me, nice to meet you.”
They walked inside and there were a few toys on the floor most likely from the kids playing, also a lot of wigs which is strange but maybe it's from costumes for parties yeah, Yeah!
“If you could wait a little bit, my husband is dealing with his hair.”
“Ofcourse.” what does that mean???
After 5 mins a man walks out with a huge bundle of hair that's almost black in color
“Finally cut it all off, note to self never take more time sleeping in.”
“Dear you're here! The teacher is here!”
“Aaa my bad let just put this by the other hair”
‘Okay what is going on??? I’m so confused’, “Alright so Makoto is a great kid and doing well, but he seems to jumpy around teddy bears so i would like to know if there's a reason for that?”
“Oh well, we tell him not to trust bears, ones that look like this” the multi-colored eyed man said as he drew a bear with a white side on the left and black side on right, its eye was red and its grin bigger on the black side. “We try to make him avoid it due to past experience”
“Um okay? Also we had a man in a suit and a missing eye pick the siblings a few days ago, the kids knew him but wanted to make sure that was okay?”
“Yes it’s fine, but we told them to stop spoiling them so much.”
“Alright so that’s settled, but like I said both are doing great in my class and making friends, so other than that there isn’t much else to say”
“That’s great! So hopeful!”
“Nagito…”
“Right, right, so they're doing great, that’s amazing, so that’s everything?”
“Yes I should head out, thank you for having me!”
‘That was weird, I should avoid talking with that family, for my own sanity that was a fever dream, but unfortunately I still have a few more to do’

A few months later…
Sonia and Gundam called everyone on the island to meet at the hotel lobby for an announcement, when everyone was there they saw food and a banner.
“Alright so you guys might be wondering why we called you all here? Well it’s because we recently fostered a girl, so come out Toko!”
A girl with long brown hair with a mole under her mouth and glasses, seeming shy, also had a bug in a small plastic container, some kind of stink bug. Komaru seemed to take a liking to her as she came up to her and started up introductions.
“Hiii my name is Komaru and i like blue and cats, your name is Toko. Can I call you Toko, is that a stink bug? Can I see them, what's their name!!!”
As a response Toko hid behind her new mom, Sonia slightly peeking out her head.
“Sorry Komaru, Toko is very shy. How about we introduce you two calmly alright?”
And surely the neagi twins siblings were introduced to Toko Fukawa Nevermind, Also apparently Toko was unaware she was technically a princess now, and short circuited for a bit. Makoto was less attached to Toko than Komaru, but by the end of the day they were all friends!

When Toko started started school with them it was awkward, and Toko hid under the table until recess when Komaru was able to get her from the table and outside for recess, they were ‘playing’ which was Toko reading a book on a bench while Komaru plays with dolls nearby and Makoto helps someone with an injury, it was strange but peaceful when someone walked up to Toko.
“Hey you!” Toko squeaked like a mouse, surprised by the sudden confrontation
“Yeah you ugly, I don’t like you, why are you so weird!?” As he pushed Toko off the bench.
By then Komaru had noticed and picked up her favorite stick, the one that was sharpest and ran over. Now there was a lot of Ultimates on Jabberwood Island, multiple of them had a lot of physical strength, so Komaru wanted to train with them and there was a Ultimate that was a swordswomen who was trained to hold and fight with a sword since birth, so she didn’t know the right age to train the kids with swords so Komaru had been training since she was a toddler, with the strength and practice she could overcome this small 10 year old, sure they were two years older but they didn’t have the training that she had.
So with only a few swift movements she left the 10 year old cut and the ground, though not too bodily damaged (a few cuts on his knees and arms and semi bruised) Komaru and Toko were brought to the front office with their parents called, of course it took like 10mins to show up since Sonia and gundam were in the process of moving and Hajime and Nagito helped.
But when they arrived it was a shocker to a degree that Nagito forgot his arm in the car when rushing in and Sonia forgot to change into more casual clothes, then the outfit she was wearing currently. So the people were shocked when a queen walked into the school.
“Queen Sonia! Um we weren’t expecting you here uh um!”
“Don’t mention it but I was called here for Toko Nevermind, I heard she’s in trouble?”
“Ah yes, are more parents coming, the ones for Komaru Neagi?”
“Yes yes! But can you show me where my baby is!?”
Shortly after the rest of the parents (gundam, Hajime and a very disgruntled Nagito rushed in) and they were brought to the office where Toko and Komaru were, both had their heads down as they were punished.
“Headmaster ##### What happened?” asked Hajime
“Well, during recess Miss Nevermind and Miss Neagi beat up another student severely.”
“Could you bring in the child in I want to hear both sides of the story”
As the headmaster called the child into the office, Champ-P curled into Toko hands for comfort, for the both of them.
When the child walked in with bandages along his arms and knees, Hajime noticed something.
“Komaru, have you been getting trained by Pecko to fight with swords, because those look like the same style of slashes she uses on um the training dummies, you know that swords are dangerous!?” asked Hajime half concerned, half disappointed.
“Well um, now let’s hear both sides, let's start with you!” Sonia said calmly
“Well I was playing and then Naegi came out of nowhere and attacked me with a sharp stick!”
“And what’s what’s your side of the story Komaru” Sonia asked Komaru
“While I was playing with dolls and Toko was reading, this bully came over and pushed over Toko, I was really mad so I hit him, I’m sorry.”
“So Hajime, who was lying I assume you can tell that since you probably have a few talents that can help with that!” Sonia said happily
“I know Komaru wasn’t lying. Her heart rate didn’t increase at all or have aspects of lying, and I can tell when she lies, now for the other child his increased by at least 10 bpm. So can you tell me why you pushed Toko?”
“I’M SORRY” was all the kid said before bursting into tears
“Wow this has been settled so peacefully, it fills me up with hope!”
“Nagito stop before you have to sleep on the couch.”

After that hectic meeting both Komaru and the child were suspended from school, Komaru was suspended for a week for unnecessary violence against a student and the child got suspended for 3 days for bullying a student, So while waiting to be back in school Komaru helped the Neverminds moving and while doing Komaru learned some english from Ms Sonia, it wasn’t that bad and it was kinda fun!
And she got to see Toko everyday after school!
Word got around that the last time someone bullied Toko Nevermind they got badly injured and had to go to the hospital, safe to say no one bullied Toko after that. And the rest of their elementary lives were normal to a degree.
