Shintaro's stay.

Summary:

I think Jay and Nya kissing pretty much confirmed that they don't really kiss infront on the Ninja.
I just think about how beautiful Shintaro is, and how there definitely has been private moments between the two.
This is my take on it.

Work Text:

Nya sighed, letting herself bask in the sunlight. Even though Nya would scoff at fairytales, she just couldn’t help feel like she was in one. Not even the cloud kingdom could compare to this.

Jay felt all his tension slipping away, as if the Ivory city was magical. Him being here with Nya was a dream.

Speaking of her, he glanced over to her, where she tilted her head up, as if she was greeting the sky personally. Her face seemed to glow brighter than all the golden buildings combined.

He caught himself staring with bliss at his yang, but snapped out of it. He thought of something better than sight seeing

He rushed over to her, containing a giddy composure.

“Hey I think I know something we can do” Jay whispered, carefully to not let the other ninja overhear. They didn’t notice his somewhat loud yet discreet words, coming out of King Vangelis’s room made them pretty eager to boast how beautiful the city was.

Nya raised her eyebrow, she did want to admire the view a bit longer, but she gave in. Jay’s expression is always eager, but she noticed a playful smirk dancing around. Her shoulders caved, giving the sign for Jay to pull her away.

“Jay slow down!” Nya laughed, his hand tightly grasping on to hers, but she was still trailing way behind him. She couldn’t help but keep remembering Jay just got ate by a Dire Bat moments before.

Now, all the golden rays reflected off the mesmerisings glass windows, enhancing the white walls and gollum’s to look even more pristine.

Nya put a hand on her head scarf, smiling at the exhilaration as the duo zoomed by all the corridors. It took a while for Nya to realize they went inside a different building, even with all the breathtaking artifacts laid.

In fact, it reminded her that she was a bit out of breath too. They were just attacked this morning.

She put her hands over her knees, after the 5th right turn they took. Jay immediately went over to her, clearly apologetic.

“How many turns is this going to take?” Nya huffed, still hunching over.

Jay looked at the front of the hallway. “Umm… I don’t think you’re going to like my answer”.

“Oh I’m getting there sparky” Nya smirked, leaning onto Jay’s upper body to stand straight.

Still looking around where they were, Jay got on idea. He took Nya’s position into his advantage, making her completely rely on him for support.

“Jay, I can walk for myself! Cmon, you know I can-“ Nya glared right before she was cut off with Jay’s palm.

“Do you ever consider that maybe your boyfriend wants to hold you? Or the fact you’re slow” Jay mumbled that last bit.

“Hey what-“. Then he sped off, Nya gasped at the sudden take off. She rolled her eyes, Jay knew better than to lie to her. Everyone knew that.

After a minute, Jay slowed down. Nya peeked her eyes open, she didn’t want to admit but she did enjoy the ride.

“Wow, Jay are you seeing this” Nya slowly got to her own feet, blinking as if she couldn’t believe what was in front of her.

The Ivory Hallway didn’t have another arch anymore, it was closed off. But the sights sure weren’t. Stunning couldn't begin to describe the nature.

A giant diamond-framed window was placed at the edge, showcasing the pearly white mountains. They were layered as if FSM designed himself, two mountains reaching peak height. Their snow covered each part, shining in the sunlight. It seemed frozen in time. Down below the mountains was the most azure color river, being painted into perfection. The sun, hitting golden hour, shone every small addition to the landscape into better clarity.

If only I were an Artist, Nya thought, I could have been rich.

"You thinking about painting this?" Jay asked, still facing the window. He placed a hand on the frame, believing if it was a doorframe instead. a

"Yeah" Nya sighed wholeheartedly, slipping her hand over his free one.

This was exactly what she need. This was it.

After Aspheera and the Never-Realm, they barely got anytime for themselves. And Nya didn't even to begin to start how avoidable Prime Empire could have been. It's like she always had something chasing ever since, even the Monstatary wasn't completely danger free anymore.

Then the warm light faded away as the sun hid behind the mountains.

Jay frowned, "Have we really been here that long?". He waited for an answer, then realized Nya was too caught up in her mind to even catch it.

"Mmm" She responded, just so she could enjoy the peace a little longer.

Jay knew Nya was going to take all the time, and he had no problem with that at all. The one problem in their lives was how they never got time. His eyes met hers, even thought she still closed them. The remaining light reflected off to her still face, she let a hum indicating as a "Thank You" to Jay, not disrupting her flow.

Jay squinted. Her shoulder swooped faintly, her content glow dimming.

As quiet as a ninja, he came to the Water Ninja's back, pressing on to her so she bended, falling into his arms. Cooped up, she nestled in his electrifying skin, tingly but familiar.

So Jay noticed her restful poise, and headed back to their rest quarters.
