“Huh” you think as you walk into miles edgeworth’s house/mansion “this is where the party is. Well certainly fits as they totally aren’t together yet”
“YO ASH” Larry yells waving from across the room
“Hi Larry” you reply walking over “hi phoenix, miles how have you been?” You ask
“Fine” reply’s phoenix “just this is only the second birthday party I’ve had since … since Mia’s murder”
His reply brings you back to before Mia’s passing
You were a lawyer in the fey and co’s law office together with Mia and phoenix
“Hey ash” Mia whispered to you the exact same day “did you know turns out it’s phoenix’s birthday”
“And how did you find this out Mia?” You ask
Mia looks away sheepishly “I may or may not have checked phoenix's phone while he wasn’t looking and checked his calendar”
“Goodness me Mia” you face-palmed
“I know I know just we should set up a celebration right?”
“Yeah we should I have an idea let’s set up a surprise party for him I already have the supplies as I asked phoenix when was his birthday like a normal person and he told me so I got the supplies in my desk as I had to carry it from my motorcycle”
“ALRIGHT ok so you distract him while I get everything together”
“Maybe we should invite his mom she lives nearby and I have her number so I can ask here if she wants to come”
You text Mrs mikoto and to no one’s surprise she says yes and says she’s on the way already. you tell Mia and you spend a bit of time decorating with her until you look outside and see phoenix on his bike pedaling here and you rush to stop him from entering the office “Hey nick” you say “Hi ash” he says already suspicious “Let’s go out to the park or something” “But we have to work” “Your free to leave for a few hours”Mia says from a tiny crack she made in the door “Ok boss”replied phoenix “Ok let’s go phoenix”you say Few hours later you and phoenix walk in to the whole place decorated with a homemade cake “Mia how is there a homemade cake?” You ask Turns out mikoto made a cake in a few minutes and walked over so cake “What!? Did you guys do this all for me!?”phoenix asked “Yup”you and Mia replied Phoenix hugged you both and his mom in a hug “ thank you thank you thank you” he kept saying After singing the happy birthday song it was time to blow out the candles Phoenix blew out the candles and cut the cake into slices (Larry was there too) Then Mia died and it was just you, phoenix and maya and eventually pearl joined the family too.
You are brought back to the present by Larry and maya Who is talking about miles and phoenix’s obvious love and who else is behind the bead door but miles and phoenix making out with each other “well” you thought “they will probably start dating soon if they haven’t already”
