    He kept on staring at the rings. He wanted to marry William. He wanted to mark him, to feel the bond snap into place, to hear the laughter of children in their house. He wanted to grow old and grey and bored with William James Moriarty.

    But the doubt: that tiny, foolish, human sliver of uncertainty whispered in his ear. Did William want the same? Did a man who had tried to die for the world want to be 'claimed' by an Alpha as chaotic as Sherlock Holmes? Would he agree to such a commitment?
