Gone Huntin'

Summary:

It was a rare sight to see Dozer be so hungry, so desperate, he stalks, catches, and kills a sinner just like a cat would with its prey.

I guess you could say the exact same for Dozer, considering he was a cat, and nearly all of the sinners were technically “birds” of some type. It was rare to come across a sinner that was some other animal.

=======

Dozer kills and eats an innocent sinner falling behind on a run.

Work Text:

It was a rare sight to see Dozer be so hungry, so desperate, he stalks, catches, and kills a sinner just like a cat would with its prey.

I guess you could say the exact same for Dozer, considering he was a cat, and nearly all of the sinners were technically “birds” of some type. It was rare to come across a sinner that was some other animal.

This time, Dozer was in a very hungry mood. The pain of an empty stomach was already hitting him, and nothing nearby seemed appetizing enough. He huffed and made his way towards the usual corridors the sinners ran through. Dozer spotted a group of them, all skillfully dodging the entities that popped up. He saw Seesay catch one of the sinners, and felt a surge of pride. That’s my daughter. She learned from the best.

Watching all of the sinners skillfully dart and trimp and avoid everyone like they were nothing, he knew that they were all skilled. He continued stalking, and watched as one of them managed to speed up to catch up to Carnation somehow. Sin, these sinners were no joke.

Then, he noticed one was falling behind. They had an eye gouged out by Heed, and were moving all wobbly-like, probably due to Doppel. Quietly, he stalked the poor sinner, watching and listening as they called for their friends to wait.

It was pitiful, watching the poor thing struggle. Right as he watched Heed’s eye dissipate, Dozer had leaped through the air, hissing and landing on the sinner square on the shoulders.

“SHIT! FUCK!!” He heard them cry out. He always liked playing with prey, and this time it was no different.

The cat planted a paw firmly on the sinner's throat, “Caught you off guard? Hmhm, just goes to show you should practice more.”

Horrified, the sinner tried to pry Dozer’s paw off of their throat, but Dozer wouldn’t let that slide. He leaned in close, growling, “I like it when I can smell fear-scent on poor sinners like you. Try to catch up to your friends.”

Dozer let the sinner go, and instantly they ran. Ran so fast Dozer was surprised he could barely keep up with them. But he wouldn’t give up. He kept his eyes on his target. He heard fearful sobs and pleas from the sinner; they knew Dozer was chasing behind.

Not once had Dozer experienced a sinner escape from his paws, and this time was also certainly no different. Right as the safe-room came into sight, Dozer pushed off the ground hard. He caught the sinner in his paws again, keeping them firm on the ground, and this time killing them by digging a sharp claw in the back of their head, slicing it down to the neck, and tearing it open with both paws.

The screams of pain and horror from the sinner died down faster than Dozer had expected. He licked his lips; the smell of blood always got him worked up. He grabbed the poor, deceased sinner by the ‘scruff’ and trotted off back to his little home.

Happy with another successful hunt, Dozer waltzed inside, head held high, dead sinner in his mouth. He let them fall to the ground will a dull thud, and started licking at the wounds he made to clean off all the excess blood. Then, he sank his teeth in, and tore the flesh from the bone.

He never usually thanked God, he always thanked Sin, but just this once he thanked God for sending this poor, pitiful, inexperienced sinner down, and thanked Sin for allowing him to catch them. The flesh was packed with flavor, and Dozer had to restrain himself from overstuffing himself.

Licking the bones, Dozer just left the sinners carcass there, and not even a minute later he heard a horrified scream, followed by a “WHAT IN THE ACTUAL FUCK!?”

Who screamed you may ask? Well, it was his fuckass, annoying ass, blind ass, cunt of a brother, Kookoo. He ran up to Dozer, got all up in his face, and started yelling at him, “WHY THE HELL DID Y0U JUST LEAVE AN0THER G0D DAMN DEAD SINNER IN THE MIDDLE 0F THE FUCKING HALLWAY!?!?”

Dozer swiped a paw at his brother, hissing, “Back off, cross-eyes! I was hungry, I’m sorry you had to see the remains of my meal.”

Kookoo was just too angry and baffled to respond. Angrily, he stormed off, leaving Dozer alone again. The cat yawned, tired from all the running he had to do. Kookoo should feel lucky his own brother doesn’t feel like hunting him.

Kookoo was a bird, after all…
