Summary
.Years after leaving Hawkins behind, Mike Wheeler pays a small fortune for an experimental procedure: to erase his entire senior year of high school from his memory. For it to work, he has to relive every single memory. Every single moment. Every single person.
And so he returns to the end of the summer of 1988 — when everything finally seemed to be getting back to normal. When his friends talked about the future, when the scars of the past seemed to be starting to heal, and when he and Will Byers became inseparable again.
But some memories are too heavy to disappear without leaving a mark, and the more Mike relives that last year, the harder it becomes to remember why he wanted to forget it.
