“He blinks, down at the sight of the young boy. Covered in the fresh blood of a new kill, that gun in bony, trembling hands— and the man’s eye starts to glimmer with interest.
His expression shifts, shifts something horrible. And a weak little breath is punched out of Tommy at the way interest turns into something far darker. He tilts his head, something twitching at the corner of his lips. His earring dangles from his ear, glimmering dark emerald.
He’s seen something similar on Clay’s face before, he’s seen it on Micheal when Toby grabs his bottle. Tommy recognizes it as hunger.”
Or; Tommy was born from nothing good and has been nothing good since. Still, his life has reached a calming point somehow. He has Toby, he has Michael and their home together, that’s all he needs.
