Summary
Charlie Swan thrives off of routine, the last 15 years of his life focused solely on owning the only cafe in Forks. One rainy afternoon, the new town doctor walks in and throws his entire life into the unknown. It isn’t enough that the man is beautiful, more beautiful than anyone Charlie has ever seen, but that he wants to get to know him. Charlie isn’t supposed to want new things, but he finds himself unable to truly turn away the golden-eyed newcomer.
Bella Swan works part-time at her father’s cafe, and is content with her rainy life since moving to Forks to live with her father two years ago. But as she’s working, a group of beautiful strangers walk in through the door. Bella is in awe of them, especially the blonde woman that seems to hate her from the start. Instead of hating her back, Bella wants to see her again.
Edward Cullen just moved to Forks with his family, and he’s doing just fine. He revels in his solitary time, but it’s all thrown to the wayside when he locks eyes with a man that he knows isn’t human. That means he's dangerous, especially when he hears his thoughts when he sees Edward: bloodsucker, vampire. Despite the threat, Edward isn’t sure his decades of control can hold for much longer.
