Work Text:
"I've always liked you, Phil, ever since the day we met", Dan quipped, after watching Phil click the camera off. He was feeling rosy cheeked and warm, the effects of the alcohol floating through his system.
Phil's fingers slipped as he dismantled the camera. Yelping, he managed to catch the camera before it fell to the floor, and turned to look at a smirking Dan.
A smirk crept across Phil's face as well.
"It's true, you know", said Dan, waving a hand in the air in an offhand fashion, "I have always loved you. Since the day we met." The alcohol was really working it's magic now. As Dan's gaze fell upon his partner, a rush of affection flooded through him. He thought about the day they met, and all of the moments that cumulated to today, this moment; feeling comfortable enough to be his true self in front of millions with the man he loves.
Phil chuckled softly, shaking his head fondly. "The alcohol has gotten to you, huh?" He said, tilting his head like a puppy would upon seeing a treat.
Dan stood up, holding onto the table for support. Tripping over his chair slightly, and quietly cursing himself for the clumsiness, he made his way around the table. Feeling warm around the ears, he reached for Phil, as Phil set the camera down on the table, knocking a glass over in the process. The glass was left ignored, as the two men wrapped their arms around each other, in a loving and gentle embrace.
"I'm really happy that I ended up with you, Phil."
"And Phil is happy that you chose him."
