In the beginning, the Fall started with two Angels. Archangels who only wanted a bit of clarification. Archangels who only wanted some justice.
6000 years later, both of these demons are struggling with their respective partners leaving them and going to heaven.After Aziraphale left, Crowley got a call from Lucifer asking him for help. The Princess of Hell had a hotel, and who better than Crowley to help her with it?
Aziraphale arrives in Heaven and it's different from what he was expecting. They have an army that goes down and kills sinners every year, but no-one except for the Archangels and the highest Seraph know about this. Also, his prayers haven't been answered yet and he doesn't know what to do without Her guidance.

"Crowley?" Aziraphale's eyes were wide with shock and horror when the demon met his gaze. "What happened?"

Aziraphale swallowed, followed the nervous habit of biting his bottom lip - and instantly flinched in pain. The sight made an unwelcome thought manifest itself in Crowley's short-circuited brain. A horrible thought. Yet the only theory he had so far. What if...-
