Golf Ball meticulously set up her telescope, tucking a loose strand of hair behind her ear.
"TB! I got the telescope set up!"
"Great!" He set his laptop to the side and got up from where he was sitting with his legs crossed with a grunt, muttering, "I am too damn old to be sitting like that."
"Honey, you're only 29," she smiled as her husband stepped to her side.
"I know, too damn old," he repeated, slipping an arm around his wife's waist.
"Mh.." she sighed, "Whatever you say." Golf Ball kissed her significant other's cheek, earning a kiss on the lips in return. Which turned into multiple passionate kisses.
"Mhh... Babe, c'mon... The shower is about to start. And I can't spend it kissing you."
"Fineee..." He whined, then pressed a kiss to her temple.
"I love you," he whispered into her hair.
"And I tolerate you."
"That's a better answer than I usually get," he mumbled.
His eyes widened and he gasped, "GB, look, it's starting."
"Wow..." She sighed, leaning her head on her husband's shoulder. "It never gets old."
Every year since the two began dating, they'd visit the same place in Goiky that had a breathtaking view of the meteor showers. They'd spot constellations and look at the planets, they avoided the moon for reasons that were obvious.
This hill is where Tennis Ball first kissed her and where he got down on one knee three years later.
Safe to say they had wonderful memories here.
"It's almost as beautiful as you," he muttered.
"Shut up, you sap." She said, though there was no real bite to it.
"But it's true." He gave her an affectionate smile, though his eyes gave away the fact that he wanted to say more.
Noticing that he obviously wanted to say more, she urged, "Say whatever you want to say, babe."
He sighed and said in a soft tone, "Sometimes, I can't believe you actually said yes to me."
"What do you mean?" She tilted her head, "I said yes because I love you."
"Yeah, but... Look at yourself." He gestured to his wife, "You're out of my league."
"Tennis Ball."
"What?"
"Shut up. About that. I love you, and you are not out of my league. So stop thinking you are. Who even told you that?"
"Um. Myself."
Golf Ball gave him a look.
"And Eraser and Blocky and maybe most of the other guys," He added.
"Don't listen to them. They're idiots," Golf Ball stated.
"I know..."
"If you know, then you shouldn't be listening to them. Especially listening when they say things like that." She turned around in his arms and wrapped hers around his neck. "You're lucky I don't give them a piece of my mind."
"You mean kicking their asses?"
"I mean, kicking their asses." She replied with a nod.
"This is why I love you," he sighed.
"I love you too and don't you ever forget that," she replied.
