1:43am (yes its an omori referance shut up)

Pregnancy was pretty uncomfortable and Kyoko Kirigiri could agree with that. She was about 5 months along and it had been a nightmare, especially with how fragile and frail her frame was.

She layed in bed staring at the moonlight streaks on the ceiling. She didn't know if it was the mood swings caused by the pregnancy or what but she felt.. odd..

She wouldn't say she felt alone but just kinda depressed for no reason. She placed a hand on her abdomen. She felt scared but so excited for the kid. She still didn't know the gender but she would love them regardless.

She wasn't exactly loved regardless as a child. Be a detective or be a failure like her father was. She hated being compared to her father, even if she wasn't told the whole truth by her grandfather. Either way, she never wanted to be like him. She wanted to always be there for her family.

She felt slight movement below her hand and goosebumps spiked throughout her body. The amount of overwhelming love she felt in that moment was irreplacable. The child she would have with ger husband, Makoto, was real and would be showered with unconditional love each and every day.

Speaking of unconditional love...

She rolled over slightly to face her husbands sleeping form and had the sudden urge to ask him one question..

".. makoto..?"

".. makoto.."

"Makoto."

Makoto shifted slightly after hearing his name over and over again from his wife. His eyes parted slightly as he looked at his beautiful wife. The moonlight reflected off of her features to produce a radient effect. It made him fall even more in love.

"Yeah.? Is everything okay..?"

"Babe, would you still love me if I was a worm..?"

Makoto froze at the sheer obsurdity of the question. Then, he processed it a little bit. And who was saying it.

It was unlike Kyoko of all people to act like this, like a lovesick schoolgirl. He knew this was the infamous question to every boyfriend in the world, but he was married so he was better. Luckily, he had a few answers on hand.

"Depends, am I a worm to?"

Kyoko thought for a minute before replying with a simple head shake, although it was muffled by the pillows. Makoto thought again.

"Well, I would put you in a little jar with alot of air holes and leaves."

"But what if I get bored. What about my job?"

He'll admit, he didn't see this one coming. He though hard but not long, he knew how thin her patience was, especially when she was pregnant.

"Then, I would print out tiny cases for you to do as a worm."

Kyoko didn't know if she should frown or smile. That was the stupidest thing she had ever heard of but the fact he would go out of his way like that was heartwarming.

She sighes softly instead.

"Goodnight, love~"

Makoto smiled.

"Goodnight, darling. Tell the little one goodnight for me too, dear."

Kyoko turned over knowing she had the best husband and father of her children she could ask for.
