Work Text:
“We’ve gone through a shit tonne of lipstick, and none of this is ‘kiss-proof’,” 007n7 mumbled, wiping the last test off of his lips, which were stained a deep red by this point, with a tissue that was quickly thrown onto the ground. How he’d explain that later to any soldiers would be a problem for future him, “What are you going to do with all this spare lipstick anyways?” he asked, waving a hand down towards the table that had at least 30 different lipsticks that had been put to his lips.
“Oh I’ll find somewhere to put it, it’ll be fine~” Noli said, sounding completely blissed out, “We’ve still got one more to go through!” they insisted, a bit sad that it was the last one – they would have much preferred to be here getting kissed by 007n7 all day – but they didn’t let that sadness leak into their tone.
007n7 swiped the makeup over his lips, this one with a more glossy finish then some of the others. He leaned over to Noli, whose face by this point was covered in all directions by little kiss marks. He brought a hand up to their cheek, an almost cradle like motion, and kissed them briefly. It wasn’t rough. Slightly firm, but held a surprising amount of gentleness for the general’s standards.
Noli relished the feeling of 007n7 kissing them. Trying to hide their excitement at first, but by now they’d lost it, and were kissing him back eagerly. The lipstick smudged as expected. Truly, there was no kiss-proof lipstick there. The experiment was just a cover-up for an excuse to kiss him over and over again.
They didn’t know the 007n7 knew this very well, and if he really didn’t want to be do this, he would have cancelled this date-like experience immediately. But maybe he enjoyed this too. Maybe he too needed an excuse to just spend an hour or two kissing his lover work acquaintance.
Once they were released from the kiss, 007n7 pressed a few more to corners of their face: their cheeks, their forehead, their nose.
“Well, this experiment was a failure. What a surprise,” he said bluntly, wiping the lipstick off the best he could once more.
“Oh, well perhaps we might have to try again another time!” Noli shrugged, head lying back on the couch with content.
“Yeah?” He said, meant to be a defensive spat, but he ended up sounding like he was incredibly open to the idea. (He very much was.)
“Mhmmm! I shall get onto cleaning out the mess up here shortly, would you like to help?”
“Nope, I’ve got business to get too. I’ll find my way out,” was it embarrassing he’d been to Noli’s place so often he knew the layout himself and the peasants recognised his face? No. It wasn’t. It was logical in case his base was raided and he needed a place to relocate at as a last resort. That was all.
“Very well then. Until next time, Oh-Seven!” they called out.
“Until next time, Noli,” he said, hiding the smile as he walked out the door.
