Summary
After their first cup as a couple, long in the making, Ilya and Shane escape to the cottage for some well deserved relaxation. Shane's therapist had posed a question a couple of months prior that Shane had been thinking about almost incessantly: "What are some other ways you could relax, Shane?" Reluctantly, he admitted didn't have a good answer. He never did besides saying anything to do with Ilya. Stirring over it, Shane finally came up with one that felt partly outlandish and partly completely right. The night before they left for their annual cottage stay, he asked his therapist:
"What if I got high?"
Shane is nervous to ask Ilya, given the way Shane had accused him all those years ago of slacking off with his team. But he figures, after all this time both working on themselves, what is the harm in asking? Shane thought out every single scenario of how asking Ilya might go, but what he failed to predict is how ride or die his husband is for him.or
Shane asks Ilya if he might want to get high while they stay at the cottage over the summer, cosigned by his therapist as a way to explore new ways to relax. Ilya goes all out on showing him all the experiences and fun that being high can afford you.
