I Was Beaten by a…Squirrel?
Chapter 1
The Fluff Friction Zone
Izumi Midoriya was born with her quirk, a massive emerald green furried Squirrel tail. It wasn’t odd to see her hugging her tail when she was little. She discovered heroes and fell in love. She told her mommy she wanted to be a hero to help people. The quirk counselor said that she would have the “powers of a squirrel” but Izumi didn’t know what that meant but that was fine. Her mom got her this incredible All Might onesie which had a hole for her tail. Izumi would put it on to save her mom as SQUIRREL MIGHT! And her mommy said it was always said like that. She would save her mommy with a FUZZY TAIL SMASH! Mommy always laughed and talked about how soft her tail was and how warm it felt when she was saved by it.
“Mommy it is because squirrels get softer and warmer for friends!” Izumi informed her. Her mommy said that made sense because Izumi was the warmest and fuzziest person she knows. That made Izumi happy. She had a friend named Katsuki but she had trouble pronouncing that with her larger front teeth so she calls him Kacchan. Kaachan liked her tail and would snuggle it with her but when his quirk came in he changed. He got a really cool quirk called explosion that would be great for a hero but he used it to hurt others.
“Kacchan you have to stop. Nabi-kun is already hurt.” Izumi told him as she got between them.
“Back off Fuzzy before I scorch that fur of yours!” Kacchan yelled. His blond hair was spiked and his red eyes flashed with anger as his two friends, one with red bat wings and the other with extending fingers, both tried to menace her. Nabi was a young boy in their class who had the quirk to coil his limbs like a spring. Izumi thought it was so awesome and had been talking to him earlier about it. She left to go get some water and heard an loud pop and saw Kacchan standing over Nabi. Izumi in her anger turned around to help Nabi up. Her tail lashes out and suddenly Kacchan and his two friends went flying 30’ across the playground. Kacchan hit the ground and rolled and it took him a few seconds before he stood up.
“What the HELL was that Fuzzy?!” Kacchan yelled at her. Izumi looked at him.
“What was what Kacchan?” She asked as Nabi went to go see the nurse.
“Your tail knocked me across the playground! How did you even do that?!” Kacchan continued to yell as he stomped over. Izumi grabbed her tail gently.
“Oh! Squirrels are so aerodynamic that there is an air cushion around the fuzz friction zone. So my tail didn’t actually hit you, it was the cushion of air around my tail.” Izumi explained with a grin. She loved sharing Squirrel Facts. Kacchan got to her and went to lash out with his explosion on Izumi.
“Izumi-chan!” Nabi called out at that exact moment. Izumi spun around and once again her tail slammed into Kacchan and launched him back across the playground. Nabi’s eyes were wide at what he just saw.
“Damn it Fuzz Butt!” Kacchan screamed as he landed.
“Fuzz Friction Zone Kacchan.” Izumi called back before scampering over to see what Nabi needed. Maybe he’ll show her more of his quirk.
