If Crowley and Aziraphale shared the same corporation

Summary:

Aziraphale's bookshop had just burned down, and he had just made it back to Earth, although this time without a corporation. He and Crowley need to stop Armageddon in just a few short hours, and they need a plan. Aziraphale needs a corporation. Running out of both time and ideas, they decide to inhabit the same corporation- Crowley's. What would happen if an angel and a demon were stuck in the same corporation? Only temporary, until Aziraphale finds a more permanent one.

Notes:

Hi, this is my first fic, so sorry if it's bad. Hope you enjoy! (Also, I am guilty of writing too much dialogue and not enough descriptions, so sorry about that)

Chapter 1: Chapter One

Chapter Text

"A-Aziraphale?" Crowley hiccupped, extremely drunk on alcohol. He was unsuccessfully trying to get so drunk that he would forget that his best friend was dead.

But, Aziraphale wasn't dead, just his corporation was.

"Ah, hi, dear." Aziraphale said, smiling slightly, as he always does around Crowley.

"But- but I thought you were dead! Your bookshop- you...." Crowley trailed off, wanting to say a million things at once but with no idea of how to start.

"Don't worry, dear. I just.... got discorporated."

"Oh." That was when Crowley realised neither of them had gotten discorporated before, so they don't exactly know what to do in a situation like this.

"Well, now I need a corporation. My side is all out of them, and anyways, even if there were any, the amount of paperwork I'd have to fill out before I'm allowed it would take months. It would definitely be way too late then."

"Hmm."

"Pity I can't inhabit yours." Aziraphale chuckled slightly. "Angel, demon. Probably explode."

"Yeah...." But Crowley was wondering what would happen if they actually did decide to do that.

"Dear? Are you okay?" He waved his translucent hand in front of Crowley's face, bringing him back to reality.

"Yes, sorry, Angel. I zoned out for a second. Just thinking...." Crowley trailed off.

"Thinking about what?"

"If we actually shared my corporation, would it actually be that bad?" Now the question Crowley had been thinking for the past five minutes was hanging in the air. Aziraphale thought for a second, before replying.

"Well, yeah. We're two opposite beings. I'm good and you're evil." Despite how sure Aziraphale sounded, his statement came out as unsure.

"Because, like we said in 1941, in your bookshop, we're more shades of grey than black and white, aren't we? You haven't exactly been goody two shoes your entire existence, and I haven't exactly been super evil my whole existence, have I?" Aziraphale didn't say anything, just stared, taking in the information. "Especially with our arrangement.... What would happen? Wouldn't you like to find out?" Crowley reasoned.

Silence, before Aziraphale started talking. "You know what, sure. I'm not as uncertain it wouldn't work as I thought I would be. It might actually go well. Right now?"

"Sure. Go ahead." Crowley braced himself and closed his eyes. He's never had someone possess him before, so he wasn't sure how it would turn out.

"Here we go...." Aziraphale went forwards and into Crowley's corporation. Nothing extreme happened, just Crowley jumped up in his seat in shock. Both of them expected something more extreme to happen, like there to be a loud bang or something, but there was nothing.

"That was.... underwhelming." Crowley said.

"Yes," Aziraphale agreed in Crowley's corporation.

"Let's go." Crowley/Aziraphale jumped up from the seat, grabbed The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, and left.

"Oh, thank God, you have that book, dear." Aziraphale sighed in relief as they got in the car.

"Why, what's it for?" Crowley asked curiously. "I was leaving your bookshop in a rush and this was the only one I could save."

"Save? From what?" Aziraphale sounded worried, which was perfectly reasonable for the situation the bookshop is in currently.

"Ah. Angel, I don't know how to tell you this nicely, but your bookshop.... it's burned down. There was a fire.... already like that when I got there. Nothing I could do. I thought you were dead."

"Oh." He sounded like he was about to cry.

"I'm sorry, Angel. It's just normal fire, not Hellfire, so we can restore it, don't worry. Including all your precious books. We need to get where ever we're going. And by the way, do you know where that is? I have no idea."

"Yes, Lower Tadfield. There's an airbase there, it's mentioned in Agnes Nutter's prophecy book. That's where it's all happening."

"Alright, then, Angel. Let's go to the Lower Tadfield airbase." Crowley said, driving off to the airbase.
